Sounds like your carb is blocked on your pilot jet. Nothing too serious but you'll need to strip down and really clean it throughly then set it up to the noraml settings.

You can only fit 50W by law so no wiring mods to do. The Xenon wil go straight in. Try angling your beam a bit higher first. No point getting a new bulb if you can help it.

It doesn;t sound too bad. Leaky seal by the gear selector is common, easy fix. Tacho isn't too hard either. Check all the wires where htey connect into the clock. If not this then try another. Should be able to get some help for this from another friendly menmber. Leaky oil from Exhausts sounds like exhaust seals, again no major sweats here. Very common on 2 stroke engines.

Un plug one of your other indicators and plug it back into the side that's not working. If this starts working then you have a loose wire in the indicator itself. It is likely that where the wires are crimped is where the problem is.

Go to any auto jumble or your local pattern parts shop and buy stainless steel pan head bolts.

Sounds like air air leak or a sticky slide/bent needles
  12. It really is a problem, the YPVS range use the same mirrors and they are just as bad. If it's style you want then you'll have to stick with them but take the 'perch should accept any 10mm rhs threaded mirror.

I should think the cost of either is probably the same. Depends on whether you want to keep any residual value with matching engine and frame numbers.

Choke might be stuck on. You could have an air leak. Fuel tap has a blocked filter. Overall I don't think you have a tough problem. Just a little niggly one.
  15. It's fairly common to have a non working steering lock because the ignitiion gets changed but wiggling the handlebars as you're turning the lock is a favourite. I had a u-lock that used to clamp on the rear rack when not in use and It was always there when I stopped. other that that a disc lock is fairly portable
  16. My brother went from Norwich for a trip round to the sights in London, 216 Miles on an MTX 125! He got home at 5:30 in the morning.

Thankfully it is most likely tro be one of 2 problems. first of all take out your carb and give it a good clean. Good and proper not just looking at it and saying that clean enough. Make sure any rubber connectors like the mounts are not persihed and cracked (so they let in air) So that's good for starters. Poor fuel or air leak.

Very, very gently rub your fusebox clips with sandpaper and try new fuses.

If it will help at all to put your mind at ease, these engines are really easy to work on and the best it is that your crank and barrells [exoensive bit] seem OK from your description.

There are 2 thingfs here. The 1st is that if it is a problem at 3000 revs every time then it's probably something to do with you exhaust system. Maybe the powevalve is closed or too open. If it's at a certain throttle setting then it's your carbs.
