good news is the ignitor still works. and I got another set of plugs which look a lot better.... still no spark. next step tomorrow will be to separate the connections and see what transpires
  2. didn't realise the ybr needed 2 sets, never seen them in pairs before always a single relay
  3. raise the caliper up above the M/C if you can and put something in between the pistons to stop them popping out. some peeps can get a syringe and pump in fluid from the bleed nipple, once you get fluid in the system it becomes easier. I have got a clear tube and sucked the end whilst pumping, that sometimes does the trick. (don't drink it though) another trick is the tape the lever to the bars over night and the air will travel to the M?C but only if you have fluid in the system.
  4. looks like you got the good weather this weekend and early next week.
  5. I don't think it mattered she pissed in the tent, do you see all that mud? I recon it was abandoned (if they had any sense)

nah, doing my head in. I'm gonna take the ignitor back to the guy in warrington and see if it still works. If it does, i'll buy new coils and a trigger coil, not a lot else I can do
  7. this is a very old thread, locking down
  8. you need to really lightly, dust the decal with the clear and build up from there. its the aromatics in there which can lift the vinyl
  9. it would have to be a weld job. looks like the later XJ 2HW engine as it has the strange looking point on the side cover where the single pick up lives.
  10. nice bikes Jap imports and are watercooled
  11. only one pick up coil on this version, uses a digital ignitor to work out the rest
  12. I know, tried the old coils as I def know they work. got a day off tomorrow and its sunny, so gonna start from scratch again

  21. AFAIK no laws for handle bar switches, although it would be really daft to put them too far away that you had to look down to flick switches etc. if your feeling flush, you can have micro buttons to run this http://motogadget.com/en/electrics/electronic-control-box-m-unit/m-unit-digit-tastersteuerung-u-sicherung.html
