Padgetts Robbed over Xmas
Freeking twats, thieving scumbags http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news--general-news/padgett-family-devastated-after-bike-theft/30649.html#ixzz3wYeNC6L9 Clive Padgett: ‘We came back after Christmas and discovered that some people had decided they wanted part of my dad’s collection of bikes. They took several bikes including an RD250 and YR5. Those bikes are quite unique in that they are brand new and my dad’s devastated, as you’d expect. We’re at a loss really. This is part of Padgett’s heritage and part of the history of Yamaha coming to the UK. 'Some of the bikes are irreplaceable – where do you find another new YR5 in the world? This isn’t about the value of the bikes, the biggest loss is the sentimental value; it’s about what they mean to my dad. maybe this is the answer http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news-bizarre/amazon-villagers-torture-motorbike-thieves-with-venomous-ants/24828.html relatives paid a ransom for the little darlings to replace the motorbikes

con artists
there's trails and trials near me who supply NOS spares http://www.tytrials.co.uk/ half the fun is tracking down parts, build up a knowledge base. Also try Thailand as they have stocks too The guy who runs the repro stuff has a stand at Stafford classic bike show ( a must if you've never been and a good autojumble too) www.lpmreplicaparts.com

DT125X and MT5
that MT5 made me chuckle. When I lived in Devon there was a hill called Barton Hill between Berrynarbour and Watermouth, My mate's lad had one and he fell off it as it went that slow up the hill. Mind you another visiting friend had to get off the bus so it could climb it

YBR125 Problem.
a good garage would do a compression test (very easy to do with the right tool) at first I thought it might be the safety relay, that is needed to start the bike and is activated by the side stand switch, clutch switch and neutral switch. wonder if its a loose/dirty wire, worth disconnecting and reconnecting on the relays and see what happens. I suggest you get a manual for it as they will give you troubleshooting guides too
