y3eah, I took it to a garage and they've asked all theri usual people and they can't find an aftermarket one for it. It hink it's cos you can't actually buy them in England unless tehy're imported.

I'm gonna get about £100 of new parts to replace my bits that i broke, then I'm gonna trade it in for a yamaha dragstar 650 classic in December sometime, might pick one up cheaper 'cos it's wintertime I hope what an awesome Christmas present huh?

Yeah, well I'm getting a yam in january so I'm basically gonna get this repaired and servieced and then pretty much trade it straight in. I CBA with riding this winter anyhow, I'll just get it fixed, have a goodbye riding week, and then find somewhere to trade it in. get the new bike before christmas i hope

I jsut got a call from teh motorcycle garage about ym bike (the chain came off the other day and i took it in for a service) It's gonna take 3 weeks to get a new chain set for it from italy

That won't be too fast, just make sure you teach him teh basics before he's let out on his own with it My 50cc will gladly do 100kmph and I've had it at 115 (the clock only goes to 120 ) when I was in a slipstream. He should be okay, just make sure he knows how to ride in the first place.

I park my gate in my school car park with like 4 CCTV cameras, contanst foot traffic, big gates and also those ramps to stop people without a key fob thingy coming in (on a motorbike you can get around teh side.) Then I normally Chain my bike to my friend's bike (annoys him if i get a detention) chain it to the bus shelter, or I just put the steering lock on. Anotther thing, for little fuckers who jsut want to piss around with it, eg. roll it up and down pretending tehy're riding, Leave it in gear, they start to roll it and it stops and they think "oh shit" and run away Just remember when you leave it in gear otherwise it's jsut embarassing if some fit girl (or teacher ) is watching and you hit the starter button and it goes "NNNfuug" and just rolls forward a few inches

Open up the bonnets (if they're old enough hopefully they won't lock at the front) and just snip ANY wires that you can see with soem cutters. old cars, they'll be a fucker to replace unless he just bodges the wires together which he won't want to do. Maybe just one though, doesn't matter what they are, defacing classics is a crime above teh law of england.

lol tehy're not bad, but those things are like 300$ and I'm in England. it'd be more hassle but a lot cheaper to get zipoffs or make the hard case inside. I'll probably jsut have teh zipoff ones.

15MPH? that's nuts I took y bike in to be serviced today cos she's getting a little tired and my chain came off the other day I feel naked without her though

If you basically build some Sheet metal panniers with a lock and a separate lid and proper hinges and stuff, and then jsut rivet them to the leather panniers, that'd work, but locking the straps will be ineffective, you could have teh clocking likd and then just do the straps up over the top for appearance. I might have a go at this...

Okay I've got no choice as to limiting it and I'll definitely go with the new pipes cos that's one of the best bits of having a big bike is showing it off But i think you're right, befoer i go pissing around with seats and pegs and windscreens and stuff I'll give it a bit of a riding first to see what i want to change

Problem is i'm always wiping my glasses so that might be slightly impractical but i'll look in to it for my helmet at least

Cool, at the moment I'm on a little 50cc Aprilia but I want to go to a 650cc which i'll have restricted at first and probably use for about 4-6 years depending on what i do at Uni

Yeah, I've got one of the Caberg ones with the flippy face thing in Matte Black and it looks so awesome with the sunvisor down But if it's too cold and i have visor and sunvisor then my glasses can get steamed up sometimes ^^

Sounds cool Chris, when are you hoping to move up? or are you sticking with the 125 for a while? One of the top priorities on my list (but probably the last thing i'll do) Is getting the bike painted I'm trying to buy one white so it's cheaper wehn i get it done lol, but we'll see

How long have you been wearing the XXL for? When I first got mine it hurt my mouth at the sides, but the padding compresses loads. you want to be careful getting a huge one, you might find it gets too loose and then you've wasted your money, perhaps try stretching the padding by wearing it around the house when you arent doing much?

Within 12 hours of passing my CBT I dropped my bike on two corners, one right, one left. After that I realised how much the "look-where-you want to be and not where you don't want to crash" thing actually works. after riding around trying to get it right, covered in mud I slowly built my confidence up, only advice is maybe take the turn more slowly and look where you want to be!!

Well I don't know what's so unusual about chicks riding in high heels, Whenever I'm going out to a bar (to drink orange juice..) I've always got a face full o' slap and High heels on. nothing safer than 'em! obviously...

I love the sound of the rear mounted air horns It's funny on my bike though, cos it looks so cruiserish for a 50, and then I have cause to blast the horn and it comes out like a squeaky fart I do love my bike though, the main things i' fault it on is it's top speed (50MPH on a flat, 65MPH downhill with prevailing winds) and it's little gay horn and also, I was thinking of having the dixie horn because that'd be the complete opposite of the little squeaky fart, Ridiculous but in a different way It's jsut another thing i'll have to look into I guess I'm getting really excited about my 17th

Lets see if i can get all of these replies in one: First, thanks for teh response I am planning on getting the bike legalyl restricted by a dealer, dad's a lawyer so he doesn't let me break the law, he was really pissed when he found out my 50cc was meant to be restricted, but I was sold it as "learner legal" and that's all i told the insurers so i'm covered in the event of an eemergency I think... My worry was not about the illegal power, but i just got the impression that it was illegal to have pipes above a certain decibel level and i was jsut a little concerned about getting pulled by the fuzz for making too much noise, I've been having a look and I'm afraid I'm gonna go with the classic (sorry Ttask) Bit of a letdown about throwovers, it hougth you literally like tied them on and then just pissed off riding, didn't realise you couldn't take them off, my only worry is if i ride to somewhere like Nottingham (the place people in london think of as the crime capital of england, which scared me.) I'm a little worried that i can't take anything out that I rode up with so I dno what to do toa void having them robbed, but i think teh leaving empty answer is best Solid wheel I have now decided against. Two sets of wheels I cba with, I'll jsut clean the whitewalls. White with red scalloping I'm still gonna go with paintwise.
