Im sure you asked before, £1600 takes it away, its done about 1000 miles since its MOT... still taxed aswell. Once the 'blade has gone im going to get the XZ moving, ive got everything i need for it and it should be ready to go over the space of a full weekend. The DT50 is also going in to the workshop for a few days and afterwards will be stored in the shed never to see the light of day for atleast a decade. and of course, with the DT and the XZ out of the way, i can get to work on Grouchs' XT and get that on eBay

Where?? WHERE?!! I painted mine with a rattle can of high-temp alluminium silver paint, it looked good but the colour was flat, im not too sure how it would look matched with your shiny cases, perhaps a simple clean with a wirebrush would be sufficient, the whole idea of the fins is to give a larger surface area to dissipate the heat, polishing smooths down the surfaces and gets rid of the pits and bumps that help get rid of the heat, i had a similar dilemma with an intake plenum on my FTO, eventually i settled for a light polish but definately not mirror-finish either way you choose to do it, im sure it will look badass

Looking very smart indeed. Just out of interest, what are you doing with the cylinder head and cooling fins? i.e. polishing them or painting them?

  9. If your oil contains Mobylene (spelling?) then chances are its the oil that is making it slip, ideally it needs to be a MOTROBIKE SPECIFIC oil, most regular oils are designed for a dry clutch system such as that you will find in cars, motorcycle clutches are of the wet plate type and will slip if used with a non-specific oil type. Make 100% sure that your oil is certified for motorcycle use, my DT used to slip when i filled it with Castrol car oil.

I wasn't taking the piss. You must have seen your fair share of fish-head justice being a maritime man?

A WR with a top box??? I like Noises idea better, would be funny as fuck, just clear out the extreme section of your local ann summers and plant them in your bag, Plus if you do catch him red handed, he would be less likely to turn it against you and claim racism if he's been beaten with an 18-inch black rubber dong

that is unusual, when my swift got written off by a careless taxi driver (R.I.P Lovebus #1) even though i wasnt at fault they breathalysed me. Funny thing that, you could always pop over to H'ford and give me a hand... you did offer to hold my helmet at Squires but due to the public presence i declined asif i were a true gent.

bought an indie 12-string off a lad i know down the pub, had a piece-o-crap 6-string i bought in afghan and took it everywhere with me, the general idea was that anyone who played it had to sign it, by the end of a 4-month tour it had signatures from all over the world (including local afghans) but when shipping it home some stupid stacker trod on it and broke it , Have since bought a nevada dreadnought to tinker with alongside my Indie. I still dabble in the art, but only on my tod.

I see where you're coming from bud, there used to be a real t*sser of a techie at benson who used to wirelock my locker shut before i came in to work every day, for the first few days it was funny, after that it got very annoying, long story short I ended up getting hold of the hangars security footage and caught him in the act, after a one-way conversation with our boss he didnt do it any more. if you can narrow down the time and place or better still if your admin space/locker is covered by some sort of security camera and you have solid proof of such an event you have something to run with. otherwise, just fill it full of bacon, chances are the f*cker wont go in there again.
