Fuck it I'm gonna have to go now I got a bike to do the miles on
  2. If it's making a release noise then I would suspect so, install a replacement and see how it goes

  6. wild foamy replied to drewpy's post in a topic in Video Section
Oh yes that's right, along with the industrial sized tub of KY, the love beads and the double laced gimp mask.

I'm more concerned about why you were looking for this drew, does the missus know about this?. Remember peeps, crabs walk sideways, if they don't they're lobsters

Well I may have a fault in the plan, the missus is only 5ft5 and the bike has a 21 inch frame... It's a struggle for me to reach the ground when sat on the seat and I'm 5ft7. We found a little kiddie trailer in the unit aswell and basically spent half an hour dicking about, my brother is playing the part of the overweight smoking baby. http://s1008.photobucket.com/user/wildfoamy/media/Mobile%20Uploads/MOV_0252_zpsmavbanfm.mp4.html

That bike was cursed! Forged by lucifer himself! I ended up buying it, replacing the cracked engine case only to put it back together and find it had no spark! Sold it on as spares or repair, glad to see the back of it. I'm sure it was our Groucho who posted on here about how the front end seemed really stiff and turning was horrible, only to later find out the front tyre was flat.
  10. I've entered also (giggity) Need more toys for the foamy cave.

Any chance you might know what year it may have been cobbled together? The bloke I bought it from seemed to think it's sometime in the 80s, but the paintwork looks too good to be that old.

Not the best idea, I barely trust her with the TV remote!

Hey there peeps. Ive just picked up a bike for missus Foamy, although it isnt motorised which kind of sucks , quite a retro looking thing though, a "Raleigh Cascade" although wether it is 'classic' or not i have no idea Basically over the next couple of months im gonna have it stripped down and tidied up in time to gift it to her for christmas, and whilst im fairly competant with most mechanical things ive never really worked on push irons before, and theres a few things im hoping someone on here will have done to their retro motors and can give me some advice. Namely the handlebars, they just look gash!, the grips appear to have been some sort of white rubber self-amalgamating tape and are starting to peel off, i want to change them to something nice but still inkeeping with the look. Also the seat looks original, seems fairly comfy (despite being built for people with no balls), but it is torn at the back and ideally i want it looking its best. The white-wall tyres are perished, but im sure i can find replacements, im toying with the idea of fitting dynamo powered lights to it, although the fact that they do not work when stationary is a bit un-nerving. either way its something to keep me occupied
  14. There was me thinking it was just my twisted mind!
  15. This means I can now legally display the 1988 tax disc on my DT50

And people wander why their cars get damaged when they act like bellends

Hey peeps. I've seen this advert for the Homepride cooking sauces on TV a few times and it just seems really really sinister, not sure whether it's the creepy brass band music, Fred the bakers plastic emotionless face or what... Either way the woman is definitely banging him... http://youtu.be/PcODFEqCVTA
  18. Yeah, it's Foamy Day before then! -.-

Thermal longjohns are a great investment I find, maplins do battery operated heated ski gloves and heated insoles, Had heated grips on my Blade and XJ600 which helped also, combined with handlebar muffs (giggity) they can be quote pleasent

Fook me grouch was beginning to think you'd been abducted by aliens or something!. For winter riding, I'm using the car this year, I'm miserable enough at work as it is without arriving freezing my bollocks off every day.
  21. Is the gear lever indexing (returning to central position) correctly?, otherwise my guess would be worn selector drum, detent plunger or bent/worn selector forks. iirc the GT80 engine is the same as the DT80 and RD80, which incidentally all have the same gear ratios as the DT50 and RD50 so you could swap the gearbox internals with either of those. Hope this helps bud
  22. Then why don't crabs float to the surface?...
  23. wild foamy replied to Tommy xs's post in a topic in Yamaha Workshop
Ah yeah, I forgot vaseline would probably be better, although I wouldn't fill the back of the plugs with it as no doubt it has some sort of conductivity, something like the clear bathroom sealant types would be flexible and watertight
  24. That's got me thinking... If a boat gets a hole in the bottom of it then it sinks (titanic e.t.c), so why dont ducks sink?... Unless they have a watertight arsehole...

Marine silicone on the back of the plugs and a smear if KY Jelly around where it slots in (giggity)
