Moderator Airhead Posted February 24, 2011 Moderator Share Posted February 24, 2011 Best way for me would be a good chrome cleaner, I use 'Belgom Chroom' and follow that by regular applications of Rim Wax. I would use this on both rims and spokes. Dont persist on using abrasives on the spokes as they will only ever come up to a certain standard and if they are rusty...thats it, replace or be happy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Well I've started to clean and repaint bits today, handlebars were a mess so I've stripped them down , now Ive done the primer just waiting to put first coat on!!! I don't think the bike had been touched in 20+ years , so alot of cleaning and respraying to do! But one good thing is that the engine is spot on, it's so quick powerbands are perfect, lifts up with no incouragment needed! Just need to clean the engine but not sure what with!
