toomuchapplepie
awrite folks newbie looking for advice!! I have a 99 plate Fazer which was off the road for a while and when I put it nack on the road it developed this problem!! When accelelarating hard the bike stutters as if the carbs are flooding but the power kicks in after a second or so! I have replaced fuel pump, filter, drained tank and filled with new fuel, recharged battery, changed oil and filter, cleaned carbs and checked that clean fuel is flowing through but the problem is still there and I am at a loss as to what can be causing it!! Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

yoda
I think the slides in the carbs are lifting too fast and causing the mixture to lean out too much on initial acceleration. Or it could be that one of the jets is partially blocked
vic-fzr600
does it idle like a bucket of shite as well? story is spookily familiar to the problem i'm having with my FZR (sat for a while, now wont run right). i've tried everything, cleaning carbs, fuel system etc but no luck. next step for me is to check floats for damage, then adjust mixture levels in vague hope of rectifying problem. Keep us updated if you have any joy!
