    Gap year tips.

I personally havent done it - but my brother and his then girlfriend (now wife!) did it, but they went travelling round Nepal - loved it so much they honeymooned there too. Said it was a fantastic experience.

  4. How much i missed this place till i couldnt get on yesterday!
  5. Hi peeps I have a Hypercharger and to make it fit my bike i need a fitting kit from Kuryakyn. Now i have been in touch with Kuryakyn direct and they said the part is readily available and they will ship it to me at a cost of $295!!!!! The part is only $69! I have tried contacting Kuryakyn dealers here inthe UK but they dont seem to be able (or want to ) help me. So after trying various dealers inthe US - again with no joy. I was wondering if someone in the USA who knows of a Kuryakyn dealer would mind ordering this part (i have the part number), and shippingit over for me and i will paypal over the money. I'll also add a little extra for your trouble I cannot believe Kuryakyn wanted $295 to Fed Ex over the bloody part when i have ordered much larger and heavier stuff from the US at a fraction of the cost! If you can help that would be great - thanks!
  6. I meant to add - mine are Kevlar lined jeans lol - not you're ordinary Levi's that are completley useless in an off!
  7. Interestingly enough - i have written a paper for Uni on lower limb injury occurences, causes and possible preventative measures of motorcyclists. During the research i uncovered some surprising stuff - like the amount of bikers who DON'T wear protective gear, and that manufacturers have been told for YEARS they need to improve the protection available on the motorcycle around the lower limb area - but they just arent listening. Money seems more important than safety. I have quite a few research papers on motorcycle accidents, injuries etc and TONS of stats - its all part of my work for my uni course - if anyone wants to read any lol, then just PM me.
  8. Cos they won't go outside my "biker" boots - mine are pretty tight fitting and i look even more of a tit with them over the boots!

    heated grips

Have you got a photo you can post brian? I had a similar problem when i wanted to replace the grips on my XVS - turns out they were "glued" on and i had to force the damned ends off with a pair of pliers!

Bebo..........should be shut down IMHO. My son - who was 13 at the time was manipulated online through Bebo - they allow groups that encourage self-harm. To cut a long story short we had the police involved and are currently working with a solicitor to see what action we can take against Bebo as these groups had been running for a long time. We discovered there there were lots of children being manipulated by so-called adults through these groups. I thought i had every precaution in place as a parent, i already had monitoring software installed on his computer and did everything that you are told, as a parent, to do to ensure your child is safe online. Still this happened to us. Bebo - and indeed other social networking sites where stuff like this is evident - should be held responsible for allowing such things when they have been going on for months and they do nothing.

    hazard perception

It is easy - jus tbe careful you dont click away at every little thing. Usually the hazards are quite obvious but you will score zero if you click away like mad! Practice HERE
  16. Ok, so i got a hypercharger which i was told was off an XVS650 Turns out that apparently it does not fit an XVS650 at all....it could be an 1100 Could any of you lovely people with these bikes that have hyperchargers tell me whether this is a 650 or 1100 hypercharger? I know its not THE best piccy and until it gets returned to me i cant post anymore, but thought you might know just by looking at it....... It has a rubber pipe thing coming out of the back and also what looks like a mounting bracket too - which you cant see in the piccy.

  22. If she is ok riding with you and isnt obstructing your view or likely to jump off then i don't think will be a problem...HOWEVER... They may not like you taking her on the tank bag - and you would probably be better getting somethign like this: CARRIER or this: Tank Carrier And get her some goggles. If you have the correct carrier then theres fook all they can do.
