  1. I put 50ml in a full tank on my LC aswell as TTS in the autolube, the R overrides the TTs and smells lovely.
  2. Thanks for the offer, but my wheels are in vgc but as I am doing a full restoration they will need a 'bit of a lift' to match the rest of the bike when finished. I have looked on the AC forum but I can't find a company offering the service to keep the milled lines on the edges of the spokes.
  3. Has anyone found a company that can restore RD wheels to original spec, and I mean the milling lines left on the edges of the wheel aswell. I would be grateful for any information please.
  4. Looks like Dawn French has been on the backend
  5. They are available since last week in the dealers, I saw them there yesterday at Fowlers and the salesman had sold 3 last week so there are some on the road already. They still had plenty in stock all colours aswell.
  6. 100 mph just isn't going to happen unless you do the following: Wait for power commander to come up with something, Fit a Leo Vince or Akropovic (forget the rest) Fit lighter valves/springs/retainers Gas flow cylinder head High compression piston So once all this has been done, and your bank balance is looking a bit SAD, you might like to consider fitting a completely different engine like a 250 fourstroke which will give the perfrmance and some of an RS125 Aprillia. For those with a FULL licence of course!!
  7. I believe they should the same as I seem to remember a friend bought a new YZF750 in 1996 and the numbers never matched, I had bought a new YZF750 in '94 which did match. So I called to Yamaha and was told that '96 was the first year that numbers stopped being matched.

    paint code

do a search for RS Bikepaints, they sell only paint and will know exactly what the code is.
  9. The red button is the hot start button, only to be used when starting when the engine is hot. I have had a few WR/yz's with the decompression lever and there is a knack to it. I always use to pull the lever in and kick the bike slowly 3 or 4 times then give the throttle a couple of pumps. Once this is done you need to kick slowly until the engine locks up on compression then pull the decompressor and kick just to free the motor and then kick fully straight to the bottom. If using this method you don't have any joy then look at valve clearances as these bikes are pretty good starters as long as everything is ok mechanically. Good luck
  10. Put it this way, when the 2002 came out everyone was trying to buy old stock 2001's because the 5 speed box ratios were all over the place. I think in '03 they went back to a 6 speed box so that says it all really. But if your only having a play around then I should'nt think it's going to matter really, you may be able to get some good setings just from changing sprockets about a bit.
