  1. I agree....Heres a pic of my mates GPZ1100(Ok its a kwak, but this has the same leading links at the front, this enables the combination to handle very well. Ive been in it a few times, woke up once going down the M62 at 125mph. He has been clocked over the mountain road in the Isle of man by the police doing 153mph.... Its all in the set up, from the size of the wheels, car wheels in this case, to the setting up of the bars, high risers, and that amazingly created front end and also down to the rider. Two years ago we went to a Santa toy run in Irlam, he was infront of me and set off from a set of lights sideways!!! It has been entered into quite a few competitions and has won. Some of you may recognise the very top part of the front fairing.....anybody guess?
  2. Interesting conclusion, I get 110 miles before my light comes on when riden normal from 95RON. On 98 RON I get 130 miles before the light. This is using a bored out ZZR1100 to 1260 cc with a few engine upgrades and the usual straight through end can with a 19 Litre tank. If I put a standard can on, I get 100 miles on 95 Ron and only 120 miles on 98 Ron. Im not too bothered about my MPG, I just fill to the brim and go, but its an interesting thing to look at. My mates Standard zzr1200 used a full tank of petrol in 15 minutes, well he was going 160mph+ for most of that time....
  3. When I go, I want this, but not for a long time yet!!!!
  4. From my first postin this thread.... Just checked this guys training car out as I saw it again yesterday around Blackburn, HE IS NOT INSURED AT ALL!!! Stay clear of it.....
  5. Was up in the Lake District today, 3 up (My other half and Georgie the dog and me), saw loads of bikes around, if you did see us and gave a wave or nod, excellent!!! Anyway we had fun, weather held out for us too, maybe see you up there sometime. Usually park at the marina next to the Pump House when up that way. P
  6. It was 2 thieves, they had taken it and driven off, the road is where the camera is by the wall. Very narrow roads, but great parking all the same....
  7. Ditto that, I polished a frame once....never again.....Nice job there mate, its that bright I can see MY reflection in it..
  8. Lots of times, had a brake shoe thrown at me, coke cans, bottles, nappies (dirty bastards), plastic off car bumpers (well these where just coming off the cars as they where going down the road) and a handfull of what I believe was kaylie (sherbert) .....its not the first and cetainly wont be the last...
  9. I still think that a: undertaking is illegal b: unless u can use your mental powers to keep a car or van or whatever it is ur undertaking in the same lane, you should avoid going up the left side...mind that 89 year old who didnt see you because they didnt bother to look at you gesturing to them.. c: if you come up on vehicles from behind with your lights on, a mere flash or touch of brakes to make your light dip up and down will ensure they see you...and if they havnt then you be patient and sit behind ...untill they notice and either get thier foot down or move over. d: people will expect you to overtake on the right, ive even overtaken on the *shudder* white rumble strip in the outside lane, because id rather ride there than get a tosser trying to kill me in-between 2 cars.
  10. What a feck up that is, that has to be a first, Id take it further, see a more senior member of the council. I park on pavements and alsorts, including pedestrian areas in town, never before has that happened. Money grabbing so and sos!!! Good luck with an appeal if you go that way. You should win.
  11. Noisy??? They are deafening...did 70,000 miles in one....wont touch it again!!! Had to wear ear plugs, even with a standard can on. Wind noise is terrible when you do 500-800 miles a day. But apart from that, the visor is good and the flip is usefull.
  12. Sorry, stand corrected, those shifty bastards! Thinking if they move, nobody will know who they are.....I must have walked right past it,was down there on wednesday...
  13. I agree, also take your bends slightly differently, dont be leaning over too much, dont get me wrong, thier is plenty of grip on the surface, but if your lean angle is too much in the wet, you will slide, take a more straight approach. Try to be comfortable in your clothes, dont be cold!! Good gloves, boots, winter jacket and pants are needed if you are really wanting to be out in it...its quite tranquill when your out in the snow up a moor somewhere.....
  14. Hiya Geoff, its down one of those little arcades...if you blink, you will miss it.
  15. I agree with you, Ive a fork here with a broken stanchion from a bike that I practised with..... The crash frame tells all, plus no screen, its a practise bike....
  16. Hello peeps, Its short notice, but for anybody who lives near Rochdale/Manchester/Blackburn and Burnley areas, The Whitworth Warriors are holding there second annual Bike show tommorow ( Sunday) in Whitworth, You shouldnt be able to miss it as Whitworth is small and thier will be a few bikes around. So if your in the area, pop in and have a chin wag with the WW... Look out for a bright yellow Combination( bike and side car), oh and my yellow beast!!
  17. Just checked my sofa, no sorry didnt find one...
  18. MMMM say Round and Black... Click here for some tyre stuff.....
  19. Uninsured.....Sort it out!!! Bad boy.....
  20. Be vary wary of pulling wires...most alarms are integral to the wiring loom, even if you do remove it, you would probably leave your machine in a worse state. Maybe you should contact Datatool themselves, im sure your problem is nothing they havnt heard before.
