    fz6n restrictor

any body shed some light on how these are actually restritoed to 33bhp for restricted license cheers
  3. i found the standard pirelli sport demons handled very well in both the wet and dry, quite a few times to the point where i couldn't actually go physically further due to the foot pegs
  4. they are realiable but you need the nack to start them once you fit a race exhaust especially on cold mornings HTH

    2006 yam fz6

hi just up from a DTX125 to a fz6 got a very good deal on it just waiting for my restrictor kit to be fitted so i can take it home and remove it right first question; how different is this engine from a R6, am i right in thinking its just CAMs and the ECU?? also best place to buy a nice sounding exhaust, tail tidy ( to start with ) i'll post up some picks when i bring it home cheers
  6. i've got a 2007 dtx does 120 down to reserve (not sure how many mpg that is) will touch over 100 and i'd guess about a 7 second 0-60
  7. i passed my cbt at 16 full test at 17 and never been without a bike since i've got a car and still love the biking
  8. deps probly the best but as some one said rusts easily gienelli or arrow etc ok but cheap wont get best performance big one probly on par with dep but never seen a front bigone pipe could get fmf but they like rocking horse s**t cant get em anywhere also i've heard u caould get pipes of dtx's or yz's ?? i know yz rear pipe will fit not sure bout front

  10. 2 allen key bolts on the left hand side ov the head tkaes these off you can then see the powervalve turn ignition on it should turn fomr one side to the other cheers
  11. i have a 0'7 plate dtx this is all mods i did and it wheelies 1st and 2nd sometimes 3rd depending if you've got the nack and still been clocked at 110mph really screaming though changed to a dep system, altered the cables on the powervalve so it's more open (yes the '07 models are cable operated), put a 17 sprocket on the front (origonal is a 16) thats it '07 models dont ave the white block to earth, you can remove the vacuum bo above the carb but this improves performance so y bother i have a fairly broad knowledge of the later models as well as some ov the older ones any one need help dont hesitate to contact me email [email protected] cheers DTXracer
  12. definetly a rebuild if u notice the bike starts gettin faster it usually meens it on its way out so fetch your self piston and rings sharpish barrel only nee doin every 2 blow ups unless brain cell tries bumping it which will then makje your rings 'eat' your barrel cheers DTXracer
  13. ive got a brand new 57 plate dtx had it a week and a day dun my first 1500 miles, and yes 1500, myn's got a depexaust (around £160 for pipe and can), it does ruffly 120 miles b4 it gets onto reserve. if its restricted u mite be revvin it more to make it go. if u alter sprockets it'll du tonne easy, 85 without even touching powerband, and still stes off like the stink. or change sprockets other direction, it'll stand up on end all day. lol, up to u
  14. an xt isnit bigger its smaller if anything and just a shit 4 stroke
  15. i added a K and N replacment filter straight on to the carb of my old 50cc and no need to rejet it, although it did little for performance just sound which stopped it sounding like a ped. lol
  16. ive just bought a brand new dtx 125 (supermoto) and i need to know how to de-restrict it, is there anything different from the older models, as it has digital clock and im not sure about it having a powervalve.
