  1. yes they should be a drive crank seal, but when the sprocket on it helps too keep the seal/collar in place...put the sprocket back on see if the leak stops....if it dosn't then you may need a new seal the other problem does sound a bit like a fuel problem, but electical an coils can do the same as you described too.. i'd start with the basics, like..... fuel lines, vacuums, breather pipes ect ect an go from there
  2. you don't need a kill switch for the mot, but if theres a switch there, then it has to work for the mot

    Exhaust paint

i find the BBQ paint a little more better then the UHT paint
  4. my hornet did something similar, that turned out to be a exhaust seal
  5. think he means the adjustable kind..... more flex in them an can move in both directions, harded to break if you drop the bike but i don't know which ones will fit yours, have a look on ebay they usually tell you what bike they will fit
  6. cool trailer, not sure if the dvd is out yet though
  7. lol yeah made my head hurt a bit looking at pictures he sent me trying to compare the two.... i'm not sure if the ybr changed after 2008, but it looks the same from the outside, i'm pretty sure the bottom ends/gearbox ect are the same... i know his front end is totally rote off an the frame has been bent but rest is fine.....the only other option would be to change it all, fuel pump, loom, injector cdi everything, might make a nice project for me....thats if its possible
  8. so i know someone whos breaking a 13 plate ybr 125 as it can't go back on the road after a accident... but the engines fine, i know ithe ybr is fuel injected an the xt is carb.... my question is, do any of you guys know if i can put a carb on the fuel injected ybr an it would run like the carb version ? or if i can swop the heads on the 13 plate ybr with a xt125x so its becomes carb ?
  9. the regulars/staff prefer you to post a introduction before asking for help bud...its a curtsy thing as for your problem, the float could be sticking, did they check the float? or it could be needle and seat is your fuel vacuum tap working correctly? no fuel should be coming out when the bikes not running
  10. its only there on tickover, an goes away after a ride.... i changed the cam chain an the rings, new gaskets, valves adjusted ....an i did put some additive in the fuel before this started but it was fine after all that , then left it stood for a few days an it just seem to appear
  11. Hey slice I always like your replies lol yup i agree! he's a tit, (still a friend though even if he has a nipple for a head) same bloke that told me i wasn't tapping the flywheel puller hard enough.......so he hit, an he it that hard he bend it! problem is, it wasn't making that noise before
  12. finally got around to taking the head of to investigate, still no idea what it is...but im learning towards the idea of it being the cam shaft? i did ask at the shop about if they had ever heard of a 'squeaky valve' they said no, so i'm a bit confused why i got told thats what the problem was.... anyways, after a visual inspection everything looks fine, so i've uploaded a little vid of the 'squeak' to see if you guys have any idea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OyDfY3aqv8
