  1. Oh yea, I posted a thread about that on here: For the record, I don't usually ride like that because there isn't usually a lot of traffic here to filter through. Also, I was following the 20/20 rule. It might seem like it's fast because of the wide angle lense but traffic was moving at around 20mph .
  2. It's times like these you need a helmet camera so that we can all basque in the glory of watching these morons completely wipe themselves out. I just feel sorry for the other drivers that are now having to go through a shit load of hassle because of one person's stupidity. that man over there, lol! It's really hard to find a good opponent, most look away instantly when you turn your head to look at them. I think anyone that admires your bike and gives you a thumbs up or a nod would be the ideal opponent.
  3. Here is a video of the XT 125 carb that member DJW997 uploaded. He shows where the screws are and how to deal with the issues you are having, great video.
  4. That's crazy lol! How did you manage that? Were you sleep-deprived?
  5. I think motorcycle training schools should run effective wing mirror removal lessons lol.
  6. Thanks for all the info. I'm now more than eager to get one . It's great news knowing the height isn't a problem if you're 5'10 because I'm 5'8 (173cm), surely those two inches (at least some of it) could be shaved off the seat if it's an issue?
  7. How was the actual ride? I know some pillions have trouble understanding the concept of leaning but would that have made much of a difference with an 11 year old? And props to you for introducing her to life on two wheels .
  8. Haha . It's weird she is scratching with one hand and sniffing the other. Either the smell gets transferred across or she has some mental issues.
  9. You're on the weird part of YouTube again lol. Oh and just a tip dude: When you post a YouTube link, highlight it (1), then click Unlink (2) so it looks like (3) black text with no underline. That should make the video nicely embed in your post so we don't have to click out from it .
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKcSZfY1sf4 Stereotypes... I don't know what to believe now lol.
  11. From 1:00 to 1:30, that awkward slow ride when EVERYONE is watching lol. I don't think I would have survived, probably crack under pressure and ride straight into some of those parked bikes.

    I kid you not,

I misread and thought "Horse". Only after reading the puns and scrolling back-up to a closer look did I realise how wrong I was. Must have been late for the rehearsal.
  13. Urban van art sounds fun! I'm not sure how it would have been like in your generation but artistic skills nowadays are fairly limited to penises. Video somewhat related
  14. Yea, this is happening a lot. Would be good if someone (maybe even you Ryan582 since you've just started working on it) could document their process of changing the speedo to an aftermarket one for current and future members to benefit. I'm still waiting on edge for mine to go and would love to follow a tried and tested guide when it does eventually decide to kaput.
  15. I usually lean back slightly and touch the exhaust during winter. I guess that's another thing to do while you're waiting .
  16. Hah, that's true. I don't know much about this bike, not even the mileage, I just know that it's up for sale. I'll find out more info and see how it is.
  17. I've always wanted to play a quick game of rock-paper-scissors but haven't found a potential opponent, yet. Traffic lights here change way too fast to initiate a battle and the British mentality of minding our own business usually kicks in.
  18. Damn this looks scary as hell. The uploader claims either the rider lost consciousness or there was a problem with the bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKdF0Z4OB8I
  19. Great quality! However, the camera seems to be very shaky. I can only assume a few things here; 1) you have a bobblehead, 2) roads are terrible, 3) the camera is slack causing it to bounce up/down/left/right slightly. I think that JVC camera has a stabiliser function built in, maybe try turning that on to see if it makes a difference. I actually think it might be 3, you can clearly see the camera isn't exactly moving with the helmet. But, that might also be because of the wide angle effect.
  20. Link says the video is private.
  21. Three points and a fine? That's absurd! I've lost count of the number of times I've filtered past police and stopped right next to. Glad to see the local police here is more sensible.
  22. I sing too, except in the form of loud noises and series of blood curdling screams, only because I know no one can hear me. It's like my own little world.
  23. I needed to get some summer gear because my winter gloves and jacket (even with the lining out) felt like I was going to melt every time I came to a stop. Spada Vortex Pro Gloves (£60) These gloves made a big difference, I could actually feel my fingers. I'm even considering using them throughout the year because I've always hated the bulky winter gloves. It fits pretty tight and the the cuff is just the right size to tuck my jacket into. I could actually fill my tank up without taking them off, albeit some skill is needed. Spada Air Pro Textile Jacket (£109) I should have bought this sooner. My old jacket had air vents which were great but with the lining taken out, it felt loose. This jacket also has a lining which you can take out, turning those air vents into a tea bag. I kept it in because it was adequately vented. I like the slimline fit on this and it means half my mirror isn't taken up by the jacket arms. It comes with a rain cover which can be stored in the pouch at the back. I took it out because it makes me look like I have a Beyonce ass and feels slightly uncomfortable. Also rated best by ride magazine, if that means anything to anyone. All in all, both great gear and I recommend it to anyone looking to get some summer gear!
  24. Lol Ttaskmaster, I also blip a couple of times while I'm gearing down and approaching the lights. Haven't really danced along to music yet but the thought of a motorcyclist doing the YMCA looks hilarious! More importantly, I think I need to hear more about this hippo bollocks story . Edit: I was actually expecting a lot more riders to be casual tank drummers. My tank is plastic so I don't have the privilege of tank drumming .
