after an oil change and slight chain adjustment the gearchange now seems fine - maybe my size 9 boot was gettin in the way !!!!

sorry for the delay - i think it is 32 litre - take your lid with you to test fit with topbox

good advice so far - here is my tuppence worth - no need for satnav a UK michilin paper map will suffice - good tread in tyres - proper pressure for load - some cable ties which are also good for securing luggage in tandem with decent bungee straps - fit bike luggage per manufacturers guidelines - maybe a small l.e.d torch - small inflateable mat and pillow 3/4 length mat is fine - ybr bike tools should be fine - your bike is a low milage example and should not give you any bother - cellphone and money - climacool layers which dry really quick - spare nickers are 50pence a pair in the local supermarket - there is an abundance of supermarkets and garages in cornwall - last but not least andrex washables incase you get caught out short - finally ride safe and enjoy

i previously owned a bmw r1200gs and had a touratech tailbag fitted sililar to this http://shop.touratech.co.uk/vehicle-equipment/luggage/bags/tail-rack-bag-for-touratech-luggage-racks.html i have since fitted it to many different bikes including my current ybr125 - fits the bill perfect

hi grouch - kinda know where you are coming from with that comment - i bought the bike from a female in Ossett and it only had 86 miles on the odometer - the current ybr comes with the rack as standard however the first owner placed the givi derived topbox on the bike herself - the box can hold a fullface lid and even has a nice wee yamaha logo on it - it doesn't look too bad on the bike - i live in balloch loch lomond and the image was taken on the shetland isles when i attended the simmer dim bike rally in june - http://www.simmerdimrally.com/ - having previously owned bigger capacity bikes it was novel riding the ybr to shetland - there was quite a few 125s at this years event - thanks for your positive comments and keep riding safe

Haggling with a Yamaha dealer (including insurance) for a new bike?
swiftshuna replied to Cylindric's topic in Insurance
well done my man - buy a decent lock or chain and atach it to something solid - and a cheap waterproof cover to keep those prying eyes away - make sure you have fully comprehensive insurance cover -
i too have the exact same problem - i am going to have the first service done soon so i will mention this to the dealer
