  1. Yes we bled it and it is just stuck.
  2. Yes DT the pistons moved back to enable the new pads to be fitted, but one side has seized. I think it's because the pad was down to the metal so the piston was pushing out more than it should. I'm going to leave it a few days and see if it frees itself. If not I'll have to get a new calliper. The new tyre is on and straight away I noticed the difference. It is a lot better, the feel of it. It feels safer. It was worth paying the extra for a better quality tyre.
  3. Yesterday my new set of brake pads came from eBay. So my friend who is a competent mechanic started to put them on. Everything went fine until we put the calliper back on and the piston in the calliper stopped working. I think it is seized because the pads were down to the metal. Completely my fault because I didn't realise. It has seized, I'm hoping it will free its self after a few days. Do you think it will? Also my new tyre came which cost me £80 (Pirelli Sport Demon). I went to the tyre place and he said I had to take the wheel off myself, so I did. It said on the tyre and in the Haynes manual that my tyre was tubeless, so I stabbed the hell out of it to get it off the rim. Turns out it had a tube in it!!! FFS! So the guy said he will have to order one and told me to come back today at 10am. I went there at 11:30am and then he said come back in an hour. I went back in an hour to be told it will be a few hours now. It seems every garage is out to fuck you about and have you over.
  4. It is a masterpiece of music. I started listening to the Stevie Nicks Mac, but my friend listens to the Peter Green Mac. What a guitarist he was, I watched a documentary about him a few months ago on BBC4 and he's not the same any more.
  5. As far as I know my headlight is the original. You can pay a lot more for hand guards, the ones I bought are one of the cheapest available.
  6. I've recently discovered Fleetwood Mac.
  7. Well tell him I want a refund because they are broken!
  8. Lol I thought you said you sold me them on eBay.
  9. Did yours come as standard or did you fit them?
  10. Is it your motorbike shop on eBay?
  11. Got these from eBay for £20, what a bargain. I fitted them today and they're brilliant from stopping the cold and rain on my hands.
  12. I need a replacement choke lever for my XT 125 X 2006 and I can't find one anywhere! Can anyone suggest an alternative replacement or solution? Cheers
  13. So you wouldn't recommend one then?
  14. I wanted to buy one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WULFSPORT-PRIMA-2-MX-ENDURO-DUAL-SPORT-SUPERMOTO-ACU-GOLD-WULF-MOTOCROSS-HELMET-/190580468433?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Helmets&var=&hash=item2c5f7b2ad1 but no where had it in my size or the colour I wanted. So I got this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wulfsport-HELMET-Motocross-MX-Off-Road-BLUE-Libre-/360369192562?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Helmets&var=&hash=item53e7ad7e72#ht_2082wt_1057
  15. I've just bought a motocross style helmet to match my bike. I've just tried it out after switching from a full face sports style. I wanted to change because I wanted a helmet that would match my bike, also I was sick of the visor steaming up all the time. Straight away I noticed the wind catching under the peak and lifting my head. I also noticed the goggles I bought (ones that match the helmet) dig into me and are n't that comfortable. The helmet is the right size as well, so it's not too big or too small. I have place the goggles on the outside of the helmet, I'm sure thats the proper way.
  16. When I first got my bike in March I noticed straight away other bikers nodding at me. Now no one does.
  17. I'm not stating that I dislike a helmet, I just wanted people's opinions. I would still wear one even if I wasn't legally obliged too. The other day a little pebble just smashed right in the middle of my visor and put a little crack in it. That made me think if I had have had my visor up like I do sometimes, that pebble could have had my eye out.
  18. The hot weather today got me thinking. I needed to nip out and thought shall I bother with my jacket and gloves as its only up the road. Then I thought about the states in the U.S.A. who allow riders to take the choice whether or not to wear a helmet. I think wearing one is the sensible thing to do and I must admit I do feel an extra sense of security wearing one,
  19. He bought me a crate of Stella, so it isn't all bad. New front pads are about a £10er and my Nate will fit them for free (this mate knows what he's doing).
  20. I'm planning on replacing all the brake fluid on my bike. How much fluid shall I buy 0.5L or 1L? how much will the reservoir hold? Also what is the best brand? I was looking at Castrol. I tried doing a forum seaerch but couldn't find out. Thanks
  21. Hi, Before you start to ask questions in this forum, you need to post an introduction about yourself in the newbie section. Once you have done this people will take you seriously, otherwise it is seen as disrespect.
  22. Seriously it was my neighbour. I have some brake cleaner. I went inside to make a coffee and when I come back he'd done it. I knew not to put wd40 on because I asked my dad about the squeaking and he told me whatever I do not to put WD on them. The squeak has gone though.
  23. My neighbour trying to help me put WD40 on my brakes because I told him they were squeking. Needless to say they are working about 10% of effectiveness. How do I get them back to normal, will it wear off?
