hello my DT125R has a few problems 1. won't idle with choke off, and sometime seems to stutter a small amount while accelerating from standstill but is fine once its at higher revs.. 2. it has a slight rattling noise coming from the engine, but it is neither small end bearing or big end bearing from what i could tell, when i checked them. and it has had this rattling noise for about 5 months now and if it was a bearing surely it would of been nackered by now. any help is appreciated thank you.

it was though :S... but once i rebuild the whole engine, i'll play about and find out lol...fun :|

hmmm ive looked at my powervalve pulley and where it sits, and on my dt it does not have the diamond shape, instead it is of a rectangular shape that fits perfectly into the back of the pulley. :S

dont be mockin my slacky answer haha, that was what was stoppin my bikes top speed. but i came on here asking about it and gettin very dodgy asnwers, untill i decided to find out myself...

my dtr was absolute balls in top gear, this was because my powervalve wasnt workin right. it might not be this but. when you hit band do you actualy get pulled back....dont mistake the pull back for a little one because the dt powerband is actualy quite strong.

hello. um do any of you know whether my powervalve cables need to be crossed on a 2001 DTR because when i had my powervalve running with the cables uncrossed, it would hit the band patheticly and would only top out at 65. so after loads of thought and time i decided to pin it open(with servo not working) and lost no bottom end power and it now power wheelies when it hits band and will do just about 80 at a scream. then i was playin around with the ypvs and fully closed it(with servo not working), and when i pulled away it was a powerhouse untill 6k and it wouldnt go further. unforantly i snapped a bit of plastic on the servo which holds one of the cables in place and before attmeptin to fix it, i would like to know whether or not my cables need to be crossed, or whether or not i might have the powervalve in correctly. if anyone can help, would be very greatfull:)

ahhh i think my friends wr200 has had the electric powervalve put on his im not too sure ... but he did an enduro on it, and he was absolutely destroying other bikes up hills, its a total beast

hello, i don't really know much about them, but i suppose if the slightly smaller engines have no advantage over the 450, then get the 450....unless you want to get a wr200 2 smoker mwhaha

right me chippers, this is anuva 1 of them topics about the top speed of a yamaha dt 125. ive seen it evrywhere about them doin atleast 80mph. i have one myself where as it has absolutely great power in gear 1, gear 2, gear 3 and gear 4, no problems at all, it will reach about 65-70mph ragging the tits outta it. and as i go to gear up into 5th, it seems to start to slow down. anyone have any ideas why this is?
