help!! i got 2008 r6 and the oil light comes on for about 10 secs, goes out and comes on again for about a second and off again then stays off. she has got plenty of oil in her (little over half on dip stick) it seams intermitent it happened abuot 4-5 times never twice on same journey and not every trip. any help please cheers john.

i got 2008 r6 fasted i've been is 164mph with a couple thousend rpm left but the question is who is the fastest round a bend (hanging off bike) me 149mph!!

sounds like your not turning the choke off once warmed up!

i've got 08 r6 and im sticking with the standard can because i don't want to loose ex-up valve! if you disconnect the ex-up valve you will loose low end torque/bhp because you can't create any back pressure at low rpm hope this helps. john

just run-in 2008 r6 and it went some thing like this 8300rpm first 600miles 9900rpm 600-1000miles very important for the first 200miles you don't go over 8300rpm but after 200 you can give it a little extra BUT only in short bursts (to overtake) ! enjoy your new bike and ride safe!

help! just brought some LED indercators but they have changed the flash rate so they flash really quickly! i've been told that if you put resister in circuit they slow the flash rate so the question is what value resister do i need to put in circuit?

when i brought my 08 r6 i was told if i lost keys the ECU had to be replaced and get keys to suit new ECU, if you still got red key you can still get new key cut and re-coded, as far a i know the barrel would have to be replaced as well to fit the new keys!

i had flush indercators on my gixxer never had any problems.

got a e-mail saying they have been dispatched today, will take up to 2 weeks as they comming from USA will let you when they turn up

i got 08 r6 wouldn't recommend it for touring! as when i was running in, crusing around i was getting stiff back (might be i am 6 foot) trying to sit upright with just finger tips on throttle, i went round left hander throttle opened as my arm extened, throwing me back and almost falling off!!! would of thought i would learn but i still do it round town cos its only purpose is going stupidly fast but saying that it is an awsome bike you will have alot of fun on it, would recommend getting double bubble screen

i just ordered front flush indercators on ebay for £16 they look sweet!(06-08 YAMAHA YZF R6 YZFR6 FLUSH CLEAR LED INDICATORS) also i just contacted motrax.co.uk about making some rear indercators to fit the gaps in the rear seat unit, they have passed the idea to there product department, so if enough people enquire the might make them!
