Hi all, I have a 96/7 Thunderace. I was doing some tidying up and bought some braided venhill hoses for the brakes. I've got 3 hoses, 1 for the back and 2 for the front but there was no labelling, I've not taken the front off yet but I'm looking at the back and don't know which hose to use. The three new ones are different lengths. I test fitted the shortest and with the bike up on the paddock stand the swing arm is naturally lower so the pipe would be tighter than usual but I'm concerned that it may be a bit too tight. Can anyone let me know the lengths of each pipe please? Looking from the rear of the bike the rear brake is on the right, would this …

So I'm curious... How many people in here have (or had) a Thunderace? How was it? What problems did you find? What issues do they have? What did you do to upgrade it? What would you have liked to do to upgrade it? And so on... I've uprated my drive chain and sprockets (I was eating my standard ones for some reason (I'm not a speed freak, honest!)). I've been wondering about getting some uprated spark coils. Whilst not in terrible condition, my fairings are looking their age. I've been looking at the Chinese aftermarket fairing kits. Anyone ever got one? Any good? Our lass keeps sliding down her seat when I'm braking, a…

Hi all, I am in the process of restoring a 1997 registered YZF-750R to original condition. The undertray and rear mudguard on this bike has been cut down by previous owner(s) so I am looking to replace this with an uncut original. The question I have is this; Is the undertray for a 1996-onwards bike the SAME part as that used in the 1993/1994 model? Thanks for any answers... regards Graham

A few days ago, I took my 1994 YZF750R for a spin and couldn't get it to rev above 10k rpm. Just the day before my ride, my dad drove it to his doctor's appointment with no such issues. I figured that one of the main jets must have gotten clogged, so I took it apart and cleaned it out. The main jets all seemed to be clear, but I blew the passages out with compressed air and carb cleaner just to make sure. After installing the carbs again, I have a horrible hanging idle that hangs at 7k. It revs fine now but will not come down. I checked for air leaks in the boots and the balancing lines but everything seems to be air tight. There are many threads that show up…

Afternoon Guys, I'm new to riding and looking at getting my first bike. I am currently torn between an R3 and R6, open to everyones thoughts and opinions. looking at a 2017 R6 and a similar age R3. Now i know what some of you may think, why would i get an R6 as my first bike. As i am new to riding my thought process behind it being, if its all i ever know then that's what i will be used to riding, hopefully that makes sense. So my logic being there will be no difference between jumping on the R3 or R6 as i have no experience on either bike. i have watched countless reviews and thoroughly done my research so not going in to this completely blind. the R6 …

I recently purchased the YZF R125 60th anniversary edition in February and very pleased with it except for the annoying rear brake pedal, for me I find it is set too high as I have to lift my foot and swing it over to operate it, in an emergency this may be an issue, all my previous bikes this was not a problem as I could comfortably hover my foot over it so it’s ready to operate in any circumstance. Is there a modification or an adjustment that could be made to bring the pedal down another 25mm?Your advice or help with this would be appreciated.

I took the bike out for a spin yesterday and checked the coolant levels once I was back and it was cooled off. I filled the radiator before and after removing the cap, the radiator was only half full. What surprised me is that the bike didn't overheat (70 C all the way). My reservoir under the seat was full and I couldn't find any wet spots one bike, unless they evaporated. Even then, I did not notice anything after turning the bike off.

Hello, I’m looking to buy a used R1 or R6. Been riding bikes for over 40 years. Mostly dirt bikes but also a lot of street. Currently full sized Goldwing and a KTM 500 dual sport. Closest to a sport bike has been my FJR 1300 and my FZ-09. trying to decide between the 600 and 1000. I can get a 2003 R6 with only 2500 miles for $3500 or an 2005 R1 with 26000 miles for $4000. Most of my friends say get the R1, I’m just not sure though. I’m 6’ and 220. Want the one that I will be most comfortable on. I’m 52, and don’t plan on hot dogging or stunting. Maybe try a track day or two, occasional wheelies, but just casual fun short rides around the area. (Pacific …
