My new bike has been collected and returned home XV1100 Virago - 1993

She's a 1976 XS500C. Runs pretty well, but she's pretty faded. I'm getting her set up for a 4200 mile ride in July. Planning on B roads the whole way, I think she'll do it. I hope she'll do it. She has 28,000 miles on the clock, so I have no reason to think she won't be up to it, long as I treat her nice and wisper sweet things in her ear. Anyways, currently have a list of parts off MikesXS page. Also might swop out the harness, not 100s on that yet. Have begun to paint the bike a nice shade of red for visibility and a love for Red roadsters. Have Hagon shocks off another bike for her, and some mufflers I've swiped off my Triton. Not so embarrassed now! lol!

Picked this 1982 XJ650 up back in november last year and its just about ready to go back into service. It had been stood since 2000, carbs cleaned fresh fuel oil change and it started on third attempt, not to bad i thought.

We've spent today putting my bike back together after is paint job. I still have some custom bits to add but they are coming from the USA so will have to wait a lil bit longer! Finished sorting her out about 5 ish and managed a blast up the road to the petrol station lol. So she's all done and lookin good - Folks, may i introduce.... ELVIRA....

Here's what i've just had done on my XVS650. The pics were taken before it was laquered so it will looke a lot better once its back. I should be able to collect my bits this coming saturday so once the bike is back together ill post pics of that it looks like complete. The guy who did it does this as a hobby and i think he's done a beltin job - all for £150 (exluding base coat and laquering cos he only does the artwork!) I know its not everyone cuppa tea but its certainly mine and a real one off - im proper chuffed

Just covered 600 miles on my new '07 R6. First Yamaha I've owned in 5 years of riding and I'm loving it. Has an '06 kwak ZX-636 before this and the R6 is better in ever single way except the slight lack of low down power and the thirst for fuel. Dont really notice that tho - having too much fun. Changed the rear seat for a cover since I last took photos and am soon going to fit a tail tidy and clear mini indicators front and rear. Also took all the ugly stickers off the tank and fitted a custom R6 tank protector. Can't figure out how to attach pix (if you can) and dont have any linked photos online at the moment. Profile pic is as good as it gets right now.

I have recently purchased an 1979 xs 400 us custom, is this a us import if so what other models parts will interchange with this machine. it has a raised pillion seat and bars lecy and kick start. unfortunatly I cannot seem to post any pics yet I may need help with that too Derrrrrrr!!!!!!!! email

hi all. here is a photo after a bit of a bath. yamaha top box not installed- but i use it so much its almost a permanent feature now- anyone thinking of getting one should opt for the genuine yamaha box- the lines are sleek and it fits the image of the bike. (damn- wish I had a photo of it on now ) the only thing i've added are the small tribal decals on tank and near front indicators. have truly grown to love this bike.

Bought this beaut off a guy from work recently . . . As you can see, the bloke before me decided to style it in his own way by taking the original markings off and painting the wheels white - I think I'll leave her as is for now. She was running rough when I got her, maybe due to the mutton cloth over the air filter that was found during the service - ya think!! It had been there for ages, makes me wonder :S This pic was taken after I cleaned her up a bit, still a few things to do on the chrome and engine etc, but all cosmetic as her engine is sweet after the service. And to ride . . . . . aaah
