Here are some pics of a very nice '85 FZ 750 project with an '87/'88 FZR 1000 engine, swingarm, front end and wheels as well as some choice aftermarket goodies. The builder's name is Glenn and he has done a meticulous job right down to the last nut and bolt. What I would give for a ride on this motorcycle. In stock trim. Getting started. Stripped down. Coming together. Rebuilt and refinished FZR 1000 engine. Centerstand removal required for FZR shock, linkage and swingarm. Getting close. Final version. Doesn't get much nicer than this. Kudos Glenn...

I have a metal tube coming out of the cylinder head and connecting to a rubber hose on the front of my bike. It is blowing a brown burnt fluid onto my lower engine case. I was told it was an emission tube. My question is, can I remove the tube and the emission unit from the bike and is there a after market fix for removing the tube and compoints. What can I use to plug the holes in the head after I remove the tube from the head?

Sold my YZF750 and got a Thunderace. Bought as a bit of a basket case, bought a lot of parts from Ebay, repaired and resprayed most of them! Biggest expense was the stainless headers with no exup valve. Second biggest cost was the paint aerosols from Halfords. Still needs a decent end can, but no hurry now its roadworthy. Heres where is all started And where i`m up to so far.

Hi guys, here's the finished item! As I said in an earlier posting I purchased the FZ1 new in Aug 07 and had her re-sprayed before Xmas as I wanted it in black but there were no more left in the UK. I then added a few after markets goodies: Gilles rearsest, Beowulf can (with gold logo added), Powerbronze hugger, belly pan and Eliminator tail tidy, gold Renthal bars and 47 tooth rear sprocket (black), gold DID chain, Probolt engine kit, Motrax mirrors and Yamaha fly screen. I also painted the top yoke and brake caliper pots myself. Have a look at the before & after pics below to see the transformation.

Thought this might be of some interest to a few on here. Long story turned short!!! Was at the pub with a few mates and was reminiscing with a bloke about the 'good old day' of two strokes etc. Said how I would like another and he says that his dad has one. Now remember I am less than sober at the moment, so I ask a few questions, the most important, what is it? HE responds it is a mint TZR250 'H' reg and he would possibly sell. So I say I will buy it . Next day I get a text to say he will sell to me. Go see the bike and it is superb. Talk money and offer £450 and can't believe it when he accepts . Bike was SORN'd and had no MOT so I had to get that sorte…
