Well another trip to the Austrian and Italian Alps. Also a few hundred miles in the Black Forest. 2650 miles in 9 days. Hahntennjoch was stunning, an arid canyon runs upto the mountain pass. Also did Passo di Giovo, Passo Pennes, Oberjoch, Arlberg Pass, Fluxenpass, Hochtannbergpass, Lechtal Valley, went over the Kandel in the blackforest. Slipped into FL (the epitome of a tax-haven), went into Basel (rugged, industrialised Rhine city), Lorrach, Fussen (Neuswanstein castle looks cool), Innsbruck, Freiburg.I.B. Here's my '78 DT125 that I'm fixing up to run as a Fuel-Saver / "Around Town" bike Nothing special about it at the moment, converted to 12 Volts, replaced some oil seals, fixed some damage that a friend (now ex-friend) did when he took my bike out for a spin through the forest and dumped it on it's side. He busted off the Tail Light/Brake Light & Right Rear Turn Signal, dented the right side of the fuel tank too. So I resprayed the bike in Electric Blue, with a little bit of the original green to give it some Contrast. (I think it looks halfway decent/presentable). Still have to remove the Front Fender, fix a crack in it (Plastic Welder), smooth it u…

    Started by Guest,

This is not my first bike, but the first bike I've ridden that has character. I had a korean import for a while, and although a comfortable ride, was lacking a little fun. Well, I got hold of this last week, and done some work on it. She runs well, although I have a question to ask in the workshop possibly if cleaning the Carb doesn't sort the problem (fairly sure it will) It's not stock, as you will see, and needs a little love and a lick of decent paint, but the engine is sound, and the limited amount of riding I've done on it makes me think it's going to be a fun little ride, and get me to my test in the end. This is by the stinky bins next to the garage that…

Cost only £4.50 to fill up and will do around 90 - 100 miles on one tank. She is called Elle due to Elephant grey paint.
