Hi all. I'm new to this forum. I recently picked up a 2002 DT 175 in great condition and with only about 5,000 kms (3,000 miles) on it. Mainly bought it for my wife to learn to ride on and for us both to do some trail riding in the nearby hills and forests ( I run a DR 650). It's been years since I owned a 2 -stroke. I did run around on a DT 175 as a teenager in the 70's but can't remember much about any wrinkles it may have had. Despite low miles the bike sounds like it has a rattle, which I have a very half arsed idea could be the little end. The rattle worsens as motor warms and is in time with increase or decrease in revs. It could be of course be that this is just …

So i was looking through my pictures and under the mountains of porn, i found a pic of somones pimping project and they completley replaced their clocks for digital.... any thoughts, feedback, prices or general comebacks?

i know the loom will fit on my dtr im unsure if the cdi will work from my 1991 loom on the 2002 loom an other bits isit a stright swap ?? all answers will be grateful cheers

im looking for 1989 fzr 750 genisis header pipes. could someone please tell me can i put on any other pipes like fzr600 or fzr1000 . i hurd that most of the fzr's engine's were mostly the same, would this be true . thinks for looking

hi all I have an xt 600 1983 ish to look at the front cover of the clymer manual the bike on in the picture is the same as mine. and the information in the manual matches the mechanics of the bike. I dont have the my logbook or manual with me. The reason for this is im looking at a nice exhaust silencer on e bay but not sure if it will fit my frame but I really want it can anyone tell me the model number plese

hey up lads am after a wing man for some green lainging summer time, i have no mates with road legal bikes although one of them is looking into a quad bike but nothing has come of it yet. there are some green lains near me (blaydon area, newcastle) just looking to see if there is any members on here with same situation? or members who ride these lanes already? the lanes i am on about are near a quarry called "lady cross quarry" and i have heard they go a fair few miles... no worries if there isnt anyone on here ill just go by myself cos im a loner cheers ken

Hey all, I recently purchased an older late 70's early 80's yamaha 125 id tag has been worn down over the years and too faded to read so dont know exact year or model, when purchased was told it was and 1980 tt 175 but thats way off lol turns out it a 125, i bought it non running after some tinkering found that the top piston ring was stuck in the piston and not sealing very well, I freed it up and got good compression and got it running but when you open throttle revs up a bit but seem like hitting a rev limiter and can barley move me in first if i try to ride it, carb looks great but cleaned it anyway but now of the adjusting screws do anything i can even pull both ri…

hey guys, just having a bit of an issue with the enduro/motard modes got ready to ride to work, and notcied a that ""Ntdr" and "Endr" were flashing, after a qucik look, on the internet, it would appear that this is to select motard/enduro modes, not thinking this would have a massive effect i pressed 'enduro' mode. after setting off the clock displayed that i was approx 10mph faster that i was actually going. bening led to believe that the enduro models have smaller tires, this would explain this, however after disconnecting/reconnecting the battery and selecting the motard mode, it would appear that the clock still displays the 10mph difference. can anyon…

Hey, if there is anyone with experience with these bikes i need help, i have a 78 dt400e street legal 2 stroke enduro that died on me while i was riding it on the road. The bike would not restart when kicked over. Started first kick that day, compression seems ok, plenty of oil, the battery, lights and electrical seem to work fine but the bike will not turn over. The plug is usually a pancake color and runs great, when i took the plug out it was dark and fouled which is a bit unusual. Now it will just not start or turn over when kicked. Yes it has gas and spark i cant figure out what is not working. i ride this bike around and its never really given me a problem in the 2 …

I see Yamaha make an XT 250, am I right in thinking it is unavailable in the UK? I ride an STR, but fancy some green laning thought this bike would suit me, and being quite short

My bike is a European import 2001 model , the back end is considerably higher than for example my cousins dtr and the seat a lot longer , It looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing than the lower AMD shorter versions , the smaller ones look like pit bikes with a sort of chopper look , but with slightly less angled forks , or Atleast similar to a pit bike I once owned , I'm not complaining I like it how it is but just wandered if anybody could shed some light on the issue

hey. is it possible to fit a digital dash to the yamaha dt 125r? if so which would work? if a digital one wont work is there any others that will fit the bike and work as i would like to be able to check the speed easier as the current one can be hard to read.

My kick start assembly keeps coming loose, I think the clip isn't staying in the groove to engage the gear. I have a manual, and it states the clip is supposed to seat in the groove in the case. Well the picture is very dark and hard to see, can some one help me find out which grove it's supposed to stay in so I know I'm installing it correctly. The grove I have been using is to the right of the gear, there is another one to the upper left of the gear where the stop for the lever is. If some one can please help I would appreciate it a lot. Hi all, iv been helping my uncle today- trying to get his bike ready for the MOT......and here is where the problem is.....The previous owner has cut the rear brake light off leaving just about 3 or 4 inches of wire sticking out the the rear brake set up- but we cant find the other end. If the person just cut the wire and left one end logic would say that the other end is in there somewhere but we cant find the other bloody end! Any ideas where it might have been tucked away or more to the point where does the wire go would be of great help! i checked my XT in the hope that it is a similar setup but from the rear brake it just seams to join into the main wiring loo…

Hi My son has an xt125r 2006 that we bought and re-built pre-summer and its now going great through the summer. It has fitted Pirelli Scorpions which are fairly worn and I am going to change them for the winter. I am considering fitting road tyres as with winter coming want him to have more wet / cold road grip. He has aspirations for green lanes but in reality over 99% of use with be road. So Question is what ones ? or should we go for a mix use tyre? all recommendations welcome.....
