He's back. Rather be riding but... When I got the bike, there was a tube going from a fitting on the side of the carb in line with the slide, to a second fitting at the lower front/engine side of the carb. Both fittings are on the side opposite the choke pull. There was a third fitting with a tube going to the oil pump. Seemed correct but now I'm not so sure. In thinking about it, isn't the bottom fitting on the float bowl the overflow, and shouldn't it just go back between engine and frame. The fitting nearest the cylinder would seem a logical place for the oil fitting, leaving the one on the throttle slide??? With hoses fitted as originally purchased, the bik…

Hi guys, i've just joined here after recently buying a dt125r (1998) and was wondering if the dt 200 cylinder and head assembly would bolt straight on the 125 crank cases, has anyone done this before and would it be possible to use the standard 125 conrod with the 200 cylinder and piston. Cheers in advance. Dan

So Once again the old bugger failed me. Dt had something fishy with the wiring. It sometimes hardly had the juice to go through the ypvs check procedure. The servo worked really slowly. Yet straight after it could have worked like it should. The low curret could be seen from very dim light on the neutral indicator. So when the fail was on the light was dim or did not glow at all. This short affected the ypvs when riding the bike. Sometimes it did not open the exhaust port at all. I did a bit of work with the wiring (again) and the problem seemed to go away. But: this morning I took the bike for a ride. It did cut the ignition few times on high revs. After a short pau…

Hi. I have just split my casings and replaced all bearings, I have rebuilt the casings and all the bottom end. I have started filling gearbox with oil and after 1/2 litre it reads the correct level on the dipstick, the manual says the capacity is 1.1 litres. Any ideas on what ive done wrong would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Graham

Departed last Saturday for Prineville where my brother lives....as I needed to be in Bend on Monday for a job interview. My timing wasn't bad as I was trying to dodge some snow showers that were occurring @ the pass on Hwy 26. Shoulda seen the looks I got from some punk-ass SnowBoarders in the parking lot of Mt. Hood SkiBowl as I 2-Wheeled through in the snow. I then went just up the road to Gov't Camp to top off the tank, where the pump-jockey referred to me as the StuntMan ..... I then forged on through the wet snow that fortunately wasn't sticking too well to the tarmac. Made it through the pass & out onto the plateau that leads across the Warm Springs …

Hi, Just thought i would pop in and look around. Im known online as Ghostbiker and right now i have an XJR 1200 trike and a member of the XJR Owners club. Affter messing about with my trike for 2 years now im thinking of getting back to 2 wheels, not as easy as it sounds due to problems with hip and back. But i had a TDM 850 back a while and realy liked it, legs were not cramped up like on my old RF900 or ZX10 and a lot more seat room than the blade. Well now i am leaning towards the TDM900 but will miss the great XJR owners club with all the meets, tec support and just gen a bunch of realy great ppl. I looked for a TDM club but only found 2, 1 in holland and the …

Hi everybody, could anybody tell me how many teeth are on the front and back sprockets of an 1989 XT600 tenere?I just got a set and fitted them but the rear had an extra 9 teeth to the one that was on the bike originally, must admit the acceleration is a lot better, probably lose some at the top end but I don't really thrash it anyway, just a query, cheers Andy

I've ridden bikes for most of my life but never on road, well apart from a Jincheng Monkey Bike (Dont laugh) I've just got rid of a Yammy Quad and as I work in the centre of Cardiff I feel the only way forward is to buy a bike, I've looked into everything and its going to be a 125 but i'm 6'3" and I need something beefy size wise. I dont want to go fast as the traffic is mental and its all 30mph limits on my route anyway, i've looked at what I think is everything and I'm swaying towards an XT125R as it seems the beefiest and nicest looking bike I can get, it also doesnt look too small for a 125. Anybody else a bit on the lofty side got one of these bikes??

DT125R pulls to the left not the normal slight pull from the camber but if i lightly grip the bars the hole bike sort of dives like it wants to swoop to the left even at higher speeds also when breaking it does the same thing. when i put the front wheel between my nees and wobble the bars the bars go left and right so do the forks but the wheel stays still only slightly what could this be? is it possibly for the axle to break? if so would it cause this effect? wheel bearing? "-------------" i no the brake isnt sticking so thats elimanted what else could it be? any suggestions
