i've just bought a rossi r6/46, the night and day paint job, that was introduced in 2005 to celebrate rossi winning the 2004 moto gp championship, i want to know if rossi ever actually raced this bike in competition or is it as it seems, just a special edition road bike? i can't find any evidence of him racing it anywhere.

I was wondering just how the system works for the immobiliser on the 2006 r6r. The system comprises an ignition barrel with a built in reader that reads the key and an ECU. My main question is can the seporate parts of the system be replaced seporately or does the whole system have to be replaced if at fault, thanks.

We finally got a Yamaha Raider into our R&D Dept. at Corbin Saddles, after receiving numerous requests and calls these past couple of weeks. I just wanted to drop on by and let all of you know, you can expect to see a product line-up similar to that of what we offer for the V-Star 1300. Including, but not limited to : Fairing / MP3 Player , Hard Bags, Chin Spoiler, and of course, the same top quality Saddled we've led the industry with for so many years. Any questions or requests can be directed to Corbin.com, or to me personally at [email protected]. Thanks, -Ryan.

Hows everyone doing? Started work on my 1992 yammi RXS 100 today. Trying to fix a problem with indicators and horn. Anyway Traced it to the being the relay. Long story short. I removed the seat, removed the petrol tank and to my shock and surprise. I have no relay, well I dont have a round relay, which is what a mechanic in a shope gave me to try out. 2 in fact. one of them with 2 wires and one with 3 wires. I really am stumped, thought that i would have made some progress today but now more confused than ever. Have checked the Haynes manual, round relay corresponds to the pic, what mechanic gave me corresponds to the pic. but yet no relay. Doe…

Hi i recently purchased a Yamaha SR125 it was ok when i went to see it, but as it was late by the time i got home i just took it out the car and put it in the garden. Anyway it takes a long time to get the engine started messing with the choke (which doesnt stay out, it has to be held out) and once its warmed up (which takes about 10 mins of holding the choke out) during the first week or so of using it after getting it started it always cuts out at junctions and traffic lights unless i keep revs on, and then the other day i took it out and was going along a 40 mph road and it tried cutting out but the more i pulled on the throttle to keep gas on the more the engine …

Hi guys, Just joined the forum this week, as im picking up a SR125 2night, to get running, do my CBT and use it as a runabout to and from work etc.. (did do a CBT back in 2005 but on a moped ) The bike hasnt been ridden for 4 years (from tax disc). The owner says the only thing wrong with it is the battery (which is expected).. But obviously what else should I be looking to do? Ive changed all sorts of engines in all sorts of cars so shouldnt be too much of a problem to do anything. I was planning firstly to clean it up, service it (oil, filters, plug) see if the engine runs and then just make sure it all works. Are there any other obvi…

Hi All I am a little confused with the wiring of the electronic ignition on a 1993 SR125 Book shows:- 4 wires going to the pulser coils, 2 to each, (are both pulser coils for timing?) 1 wire going to the Ignition coil, as expected 3 wires just going between the electronic ignition to the sidestand relay The other wire on the sidestand relay going to the sidestand, neutral, and clutch switches Why 3 wires between the two, is this a diagram mistake? and lastly (maybe not) what actually powers the CDI Hope you can help Ade

  12. Hey guys, So I tried to take my front calliper off today, followed all the steps in the manual but to no joy. When I undo the bolts and slacken the pad retaining bolts the calliper is meant to "slide" off. Well, mine doesn't. I think the pads are sticking or something. Anyway, I have no idea what to do now. Hit it with a hammar? Until I get it off I can't do anything though. What's your advice? Thanks.

Fairly new rider here and new to the forum. Absolutely loving the TDM I treated myself, and I (was) planning some tours this year before this damn virus hit! I have a GIVI topbox on my TDM and want some additional luggage but not sure whether a full pannier rack and luggage is necessary or whether a tail seat bag would do the trick. Weekend tours only at this stage so I'm thinking I don't need too much capacity. Can anyone advise from their own experience? Trying to upload a photo of my bike but cant workout how to get past this 2MB file size limit!

I have an N-reg Yamaha TRX with a rather bizarre carb problem. Basically I stored it over the winter, had it running in the garage once to charge up the battery, and then on the first ride a few months ago, noticed that at 3/4 throttle, if you opened the throttle to full, the bike died completely. However, rolling back the throttle gently allowed the bike to run ok again. It was fine before the winter, so what could have changed? It sounds like a main jet issue but it was running fine before I put it away. Anyone got any ideas or had a similar problem? Jasper
