Auto Jumble at Squires Café Bar This saturday Squires Café Bar, Newthorpe Lane, Newthorpe, near Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 5LX (on the B1222). The Squires bike jumble takes place every 4th Saturday of the month. Admission is free. Camping is also free, and there are good facilities on the site. If you are looking to flog your old unwanted bike spares the jumble plot fees start at £5. Open at 10.00am to public, to traders at 8.00am on the day or the previous night.

The legendary London protest are back this Sunday Pretty much it starts at the Ace Cafe, London, at 10.30am, ride round the North and South Circular, then probably into Central London just in time to fuck the streets up for a little while It was amazing last year on "the long way round", and this time it's even learner-legal. A wee run down to Ayr today, albeit in the car as it was/is pissing down. A good mix of all makes of bike, even a superdream ffs. Anyway a few nice LCs, but I liked these two aircooled and the 400 version

Been and gone. The day started like all others, pissing down with rain, then I got told as the wife is working, I had to run my daughter to the airport (look out Magaa) and then take my youngest to work, so I never got a start until around 1130hrs. Kicks the auld bike over and heads off into the gloom, thinking 50 fkn miles of this, I must be stupid, but after about 10 miles the rain cleared away, the roads dried up and I had a great run down. The Trident was going so smooth I had to keep reminding myself to slow down as it's a 44yr old bike. The Dyfed-Powys police in their wisdom cancelled the Welsh Motorcycle show at the Royal Welsh Showground this year (2008) with the paranoia that there may be some throwback from the death of the Hells Angel member on the way back from the Bulldog bash last year. This has no substance whatsoever, and many bikers are making the annual run to Builth Wells this year as usual, this is in support of the rally and also to support the local businesses who have already forked out the cash to stock up ready for the peaceful annual event. Met up with Blackhat250 (John) and one of his pals Si at the Creiff rally, forgot I had my camera at the rally as was mesmerised by the number of old bikes that turned out, anyhoo, went from there to the famous 'Green Welly' at Tyndrum where John treated me and Si to a slap up (and expensive) lunch (owe ye John), motored from there to Forfar via- fnck knows where, -middle of nowhere, -somewhere in Scotland, -and where R wee, maybe John can fill in the blanks cos I didn't have a scoobie-mind blowing roads and scenery , could hardly keep up with John on his 'widowmaker' and Si on his Triumph tiger 1150-'no richt in tha heid' them two so no pics of the scenery I'm afraid…

I've been a few times and bombing parading around the track is great fun. Airhead's been on the DT and I took Mike once, but he was too slow and I lapped him twice so he never went back on. I think I paid £5 for a ticket and you get 2 sessions with the same era bikes for 20 mins then a free for al lat the end (no way hose!) great to see the old bike, motos and 50's strutting their stuff The Show With Go is happening again on the 29th of June.
