The venue has been moved again! After last years "wettest ever" event at Anglesey they have moved it to Darley Moor race circuit near Ashbourne in Derbyshire, on Sat 10th and Sun 11th May 2014. The cost is £5 for the event for both days for spectators or £15 for the weekends camping. I know it was always free at Northwich..I went every year..but i didnt go because it was free..I went for the bikes. I am going with some friends on the Friday to camp for the whole weekend. On the Saturday we are taking a ride out to the nice roads of Lincolnshire and lunch at Willingham Woods. Saturday night is back at camp having a beer or 3 and spend Sunday browsing the t…

You are all invited to our Teddy Bears’ Picnic, which will be held at The Pole, on Stanage Edge, Long Causeway, Sunday 14th September, at around noon, (for little bears that is when the two hands of the clock point upwards to the number 12) . Please, as a donation, bring a small bear, toy or make a donation which will be sent to the charity Operation Christmas Child. This charity sends a Christmas gift to children who have virtually nothing of their own, in many cases not even a family. The event will (probably) be the last formal one that motorised users will be able to undertake on the Causeway as the PDNPA Permanent Traffic Restriction Order comes into force o…

Finally made it back in one piece and as a virgin european rider, had a blast. little Drewps all ready for the off 5 in all went, me on the TDM, 2 other mates on XJR1300 along with Tommy's and 1 on a Triumph thruxton Ace special. Took the Portsmouth Ferry to Bilbao where I picked up a screw in the back tyre so we got that fixed and had a drinky poos whilst waiting. The guy was 2014 24hr winner at Catalunya for Suzuki and his dad a champ in the 70's riding Montessa's. first stop was Pamplona and the Albret Hotel. typical city centre hotel, but they had underground parking which was a bonus. having a Leffe …

Hi all, I am thinking of doing a novice track day, the legal way to enjoy the full power of the bike (makes a change!) Those of you that have already done this, can you share some wisdom/advice for me (and the bike) on track riding? I suspect my brakes and tyres will be shot after the event, should I do anything to the bike (out of the norm) before riding? I was thinking of going to Snetterton circuit (2 weeks time), unless people can suggest a better circuit Thanks

Had a blast today, rode 100 miles to New inn first for a meet up and scram, then off to the factory at Castle Donington. Their factory is MIA offices and still is, so its a bit sureal as the carpets are still down and staff look like they just mill around not looking very busy. What a great job. we went round the assembly area and was told they are gearing up for the new V4 Norton raod bikes which they hope to make 3k per year. looks like the old twin may be making way as they are also doing a twin version by keeping just the from 2 front cylinders to make a 650cc bike. We got taken to the frame factory but were banned from taking any photos as the new V4 w…

This is a combined effort between DualSportUK and the Welsh Sports and Tourers Club. The location is in a hotel complex near Crossgates in Powys, and besides live bands, disco, camping (or Hotel if required)....there also's other stuff like mini motos etc. And on the Saturday there's an enduro run across the Mid Wales terrain led by a couple of International Enduro competitors. There will be both a hard and easy option offroad, plus a road only tour for those without dualsports. There will be various clubs and owners groups in attendance, including a number of classic Z1 owners travelling over from Europe. Cos there's a classic Zed competition being held there ov…
