I'm based in Hastings but, having spent an hour trying to ride to the seafront where the May Day festivities were going on, I took the TDM across to Kent for what turned out to be a looooooooong old ride. There didn't seem to be anything particular going on on Hastings seafront, other than the annual Jack in the Green Morris men lookalike festival. As far as bike-related stuff was concerned, Hastings just turned into one huge bike park/police traffic control nightmare. Unless anyone knows differently, of course. So it was that we rode the coastal road to Dungeness for lunch by the beach, followed by a trundle up to Canterbury via Folkestone & Dover for coffee in th…

Hi All If anyone is in South Wales in July, we are going to run a charity ride in aid of the Welsh Air Ambulance. The date will be the 20th July 2008 and the meeting place will be Thunder Road Motorcycles in Bridgend (just West of Cardiff). I'll post more details on here when we have it (route, times, etc). The plan is just to take a donation from riders which will go directly to the Air Ambulance as they are run solely from donations. A few people are organising it voluntarily so there will be no money taken out. Thunder Road are providing the posters we will use at their own cost and are also providing free tea and coffe to riders. If anyone is interested…

You only have a couple of weeks to wait for the Spring Eurojumble at Netley Marsh, returning for its third year on Friday and Saturday 16-17 May 2008. As ever the trade will be both enjoyable and bargains to be had aplenty with bartering of all kinds of motorcycle-related items taking place. Now an established part of the jumble calendar the Eurojumble is exactly what is says on the label; a giant autojumble packed with traders and visitors from across Europe. The venue can be located on the A336 between Cadnam and Totton. From the motorway take Junction 1 on the M27 and follow signs for the Eurojumble
