Got this in my HG newsletter and thought I'd share: The Ride Of Respect has been established for the bikers of Britain to salute our heroes, service men and women. In 2010 the ride through Wootton Bassett was 15,000 strong and raised an astonishing £110,834.00 for the charity, Afghan Heroes. This year’s ride is taking place on Mothering Sunday, April 3rd. Places however are limited, so If you would like to take part, you will need to register - click. A registration fee of £10 per person will be payable and will go directly to the charity - this is a spectacular event for a great cause and is not to be missed! The only official merchandise for this historic event is a…

Saturday 4th December, meet up at Scotriders from 11:30 (ish), ride out at 1. Bring a fiver for the bucket and a wrapped pressie (labelled boy/girl & age range) - money goes to Glenlaw House respite centre, pressies to the kiddies at Dundee Womens Aid. Tarted up bikes and Santa suit not compulsory, but recommended. Incentives to come - apart from the warm feeling of doing good for others, there's the warm feeling of a burger/bacon/egg roll from the Picnic Basket burger van, officially sanctioned traffic chaos in the middle of Dundee on a Saturday in the run-up to Xmas, and the chance to get your face all over Youtube ... here's last year's run: Tha…

The legendary London protest are back this Sunday Pretty much it starts at the Ace Cafe, London, at 10.30am, ride round the North and South Circular, then probably into Central London just in time to fuck the streets up for a little while It was amazing last year on "the long way round", and this time it's even learner-legal. For all of you London based bikers on the forum, please turn up and show your support, and help us demonstrate against this monstrous injustice. It's bound to be a great day out. All the best. Chris
