Just been looking on EBAY (yes I know I shouldn't) and it surprises me how the price of bikes fluctuates re: the time of year, just seen what I can only describe as a bag of bolts held together by cobwebs and snot and the asking price was well over a grand, now not more than 4 or 5 weeks ago the same type of thing was only about £300, has it always been like this? I mean I don't buy many bikes but does it always jump up at this time of year? I seem to remember when bikes were a cheap means of transport and only for the broke or insane back in the day now it seems that these pocket rockets are going up and down in price almost on a weekly basis, am I missing something? Hi guys, have got a slight concern.. Whenever I try holding the revs at a few thousand for example, she starts shooting up - basically I don't have full throttle control. Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated! Cheers

The tax system changed for cars on the 1st March 2001 and you pay as per your CO2 output which seems fair as if you choose to run a gas guzzler, you pay more. Well I went to the bike show today, what a great day out that is, saw some really nice looking bike's and bought some spares for mine (oop's) and I saw the new Harley electric! (only there for 1 day?) at a mere 28 grand for the joy of 70 miles a charge, I'm sure to some it's a bargain! I think I might have actually dribbled on the new 916 Duke but I am old. Talked to a hotelier who organises bike tours of the Alps and got his number and email so looks like I'm going to Rome next year. :)

I left work early today, to get home and play with new PC components, expecting to spend ages updating Windows or somesuch... The ride home is all good, bit nippy but everything going great. Traffic is hectic as ever, but nothing I can't take in my stride. I live along a 'country main road', which means single carriageway, two-way traffic. Clean lane markings, some street lighting. Speed limit 40mph, but you can expect most people are pushing 55, so always take extra care. If i was driving the mini to work today i would have drowned! nice weather for ducks though, i suppose and on the subject of ducks, there has been a theory developed at work, it started off just to wind up the Navy boys that have infested our hangar, but basically, if a ship gets a hole in the bottom it sinks, right?, then why dont ducks sink? therefore they must have a watertight ass just a thought...
