  1. So I believe the KTM lc2 125 Engine is a clone copy of the DTR 125, but I read that the KTM top end is more powerful due to the power valve and porting, has anyone tried fitting one to a DTR and does it improve performance?

Hi guys. Need some second opinions just to help me on my way. I've noticed the bike started to heat up. It never reached the red bit was getting up there. So after topping up the coolant.. Bleeding the systems etc I've noticed the coolant was leaking somewhere. But no puddles or water marks anywhere. So I checked the oil and yes there is some coolant in there. Not loads but still milky. So I've ordered new seal and gaskets etc. My question is. If I continue to run my bike with just topping up the coolant every so often to stop it overheating. Can I damage more parts internally? Just for a week until my part arrives. Also the bike was starting fine before toda…

Well after the breaking in period of my top end rebuild my little dtr isn't running like it was... I'll try to explain as best I can. Bike pulls away perfect up to and beyond powerband 1st,2nd however I notice in 3rd its not revving up to the line a little hesitant then 4th is the same I can't open full throttle as I get a "burrrrrrwaaaahhhhhhh" like its wanting air drop off the throttle a little and away it pulls again same in 5th I don't even get into 6th as I can't get her into the powerband enough in 5th so 6th just drops off the revs. I've cleaned out the petrol tap and fitted new washers etc, run through full tank of petrol with wurth 2 stroke additive, cleane…

Well I got my bike rebuilt consisting of Piston, rings small end bairings, athena gasket, carbon reeds and changed the head to a 3mb everything went fine took a few hours fired her up and she sounded perfect a little smokey but that will be due to me oiling up the barrel with 2t oil. Anyway I left her ticking over for 10 mins like I normally do went back into garage and there was steam coming from radiator cap and the temp was sky high.... I'm beginning to wonder if the head might be warped or something? Is it possible to have airlock??? I'm going to be having another look tomorrow but I want a few pointers as to what I should be looking for? I just turned her off a…

hey people.. ive noticed on my last 2 outings on my trusty steed that she doesnt seem as healthy as she was, im going to try explain whats happening and what ive done... well going through the revs i can get her up to 9,000rpm but she starts to run out of guts i mean if i get her into 4th on the flat there doesnt feel any kinda pull no feel to go up to the next gear but if you do the revs drop off and i have to shift down again. i am missing the feel of the powerband its just a steady rise in rpm i was getting max 45mph - 50mph (hard pushing) on a 60mph road wich was a little frustrating knowing i have been along the road before 60mph no problem with more in the…

So I own a Dtr-125 and I'm looking to get like a real offroad racing bike like a yz or ktm. I want to know if I would be able to handle the power of the YZ or KTM. I've been riding for eight years but only in woods and fields. I've rode 85's, they have got a kick but I find them small bikes and it will be easy for me to grow out of it. So simple question, if I can ride a DTR-125 would I be able to ride a YZ-125?

  13. I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and we all could use more relaxation in our lives. By following the simple advice I heard on a Medical TV show, I have finally found a relaxation exercise that is simple and works. A Doctor proclaimed the way to achieve good relaxation is to finish all the things you have started. So I looked around my house to see things I'd started and hadn't finished and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of vocka, a pockage of Prunglies , tha mainder of bot Prozic and Valum priscriptins, the res of the Chesesck…

Hi folks, ive just gone from a 2002 Ducati 996S to an Origional 98 R1 and its amazing. The 996S looked the nuts, sounded like 2 skeletons w@nking off in a biscuit tin and was as light as a scousers fingers, but once you pulled away from the curb is was an absolute bag of bolts, stalling all the time in cold weather and rain. I shouldve gone with my instincts and stayed with Jap bikes but I fancied a change and had a few quid in my pocket. My Ducati had recently been serviced prior to buying it (DUCATI MANCHESTER) (SPIT!!), £450 for a service, thats in pounds not roubles or Yen!!! After I got shot of it I looked around for somthing different, ive mostly had G…

Ok, I was talking to a biker at one of my deliveries. Proud as punch of his Iron butt achievements like riding from the midlands, down on the m5 to the 50, across to the m4 back to the m25, take the long way round then up the a1 till you hit the 62, across to the m6 back to the start. Called the four corners apparently. Done in under 24hrs, apparently (if I remembered the route) over 1000miles in under 24 hrs. I admire the sheer mental strength to do something so utterly soul destroying. I'm not being underhand I told him it sounded massively fucking boring and he agreed, he said it was the guys with him that made it great, which is what motorc…

Tonto and the Loan-Ranger are on horse-back, crossing the outback plains, As they are going along they can see nothing for miles only a few trees, Then out of the blue, Tonto stops, So then does the Loan-Ranger, "Whats up", says the Loan-Ranger, Tonto just says "sushhhhhh, be quiet", A few minuets go by, then suddenly Tonto jumps down from his horse, drops to his hands and knees, puts his ear down to the ground and starts to listen, "Buffalo Cum", he says, The Loan-Ranger looks arround but cant see any buffalo anywhere, "how the hell do you know that" he says, Tonto rises from his knees, puts his hand against his face and says, "Face Sticky".

As a trucker stops for a red light, a blonde in her car pulls up alongside. She jumps out of her car, runs up to his truck, and knocks on the door. The trucker lowers the window, and she says "Hi, my name is Sharon and you are losing some of your load." The trucker ignores her and proceeds down the street. When the truck stops for another red light, the girl again catches up. She jumps out of her car, runs up and knocks on the door. Again, the trucker lowers the window. As if they've never spoken, the blonde says brightly, "Hi, my name is Sharon, and you are losing some of your load!" Shaking his head, the trucker ignores her again and continues down t…

This is a legitimate E-mail and not made up Dear Sir/Madam/Automated telephone answering service, Having spent the past twenty minutes waiting for someone at Strandtown police station to pick up a telephone I have decided to abandon the idea and try e-mailing you instead. Perhaps you would be so kind as to pass this message on to your colleagues in Strandtown, by means of smoke signal, carrier pigeon or Ouija board. As I'm writing this e-mail there are eleven failed medical experiments (I think you call them youths) in Parkgate Crescent, which is just off Mersey Street, Belfast. Six of them seem happy enough to play a game which involves kicking a f…

Hi, I've purchased two damaged bikes off Ebay and have built a bike from their parts, apart from buying a replacement frame from Germany that came complete with the necessary papers. I have checked on the Government website and both the bikes show up with the registration details. What are the procedures for registering the new build which included one of the original engines? I am really against having to have the Dreaded "Q" plate. Can anyone help?
