Yesterday while heading to town a bird flew across the road and hit my my handle bars just below the right mirror. I can only imagine what the result would have been if it had hit me. It's tough enough having to watch out for cars...now the birds are after us too!

Hi, this is just for the people in the Uk really. My friend in Devon is starting a fortnightly rock nights venue and is looking for bands in the south - or not too far from the south - to play in the future. they are looking for classic rock tribute and covers bands and some that do their own stuff. It might prove to be very good for a little known band who is trying get into the pub music scene. Anyway, do any of you know any bands, or know of any or are in a band? If so, please let me know the name and website or e-mail address and I will pass it on to her. The opening night is on the 16th of September at Rock At Moloko. I will let you know any other details if…

im new to this forum obviously. But i have a 1993 Yamaha xj600s Seca II. i cant get any spark in the plugs. I have tested everything electrical on the bike and still come up short for an answer to why there is no spark. i have concluded that i think its the TCI box. But the only way to test one basically is to hook the TCI box up to a running bike and see if the running bike still gets spark. i need to find someone who has this bike in or around the Phoenix, AZ area so i can test my two TCI boxes and make sure there bad before i make an investment in a new box. Anyone who helps gets 20 bucks, and ill drive to you. Thanks Alot. Derek.

A teacher gave her class of 11 year olds an assignment: To get their parent to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it. The next day the kids came back and one by one began to tell their stories. Ashley said, "My father's a farmer and we have a lot of egg laying hens. One time we were taking our eggs to market in a basket on the front seat of the car when we hit a big bump in the road and all the eggs got broken." "What's the morale of that story?" asked the teacher. "Don't put all your eggs in one basket!" "Very good," said the teacher. Next little Sarah raised her hand and said, "Our family are farmers too. But we raise chickens for the meat …

Question to any of our Australian friends... Are there any associations for advanced motorcycling? In the UK there's the BMF, Rospa, IAM but I can't seem to find anything similar out here, surely there's something?

Wicked big pat on the back for the Brit team with a Brit car with a Brit driver and Brit sponser. Bout kin time big pat on the back for Jensen wicked drive, the new rules have made things much better than it was recently. You really couldnt gaurantee where anybody would be. There were drivers making errors cos the cars are harder to drive but more overtaking with the 'Boost' button. I'm actually looking foreward to the next one. Edit. Er sorry seem to have gone a bit 'wicked crazy' on this post. Guess i'm a bit of a patriot at heart.

Hello Everyone, Just thought I'd add this topic as a helper for anyone wishing to install their own autocom system (my local dealership wanted to charge me £90 to install mine) I've installed and set my system up on my 2006 FZ6 Fazer and am more than willing to help others set theirs up as well. To be honest this isn't that difficult but it can look a bit daunting as in the pack you get what looks like mountains of wires and a booklet that doesn't really give you much help as it is really ment to be installed by your dealer but it only took me about two hours (one hour of which was taking off my fairing) so not long at all really right I got the mid …

Some of you guys know that I recently bought an old (but willing - bit like me) ty175. Having got it home (after a 10 hour round trip) and got it started (after reconnecting a wire that had pulled off the coil under the tank in transit) it seemed to be running a bit hot - just a hunch having had loads of air cooled two strokes in the past and not having the benefit of a temp guage! Then I remembered a comment that the seller made - i.e. he always put an eggcup full of oil in the petrol tank when he filled up - a ty175 only holds 4 litre of fuel from absolute empty. Adding extra lubricant may seem like a good idea but apparently can cause the engine to run hot and…

hi everyone. found out yesterday that the jawa has an automatic clutch, meaning that when you move the gear lever to change gear, it will disengage the clutch, select the gear and wont engage the clutch again until you move the lever back to centre without even having to touch the clutch lever. is this a common thing on most bikes and how does it work? im quite amazed, lol!

When riding around town the tires dont get very warm but after a long scoot down the highway at higher speeds they warm up quite a lot more. What I've found is the following. slow speeds the tires feel good, higher speeds after warm up they feel that there is a weave in the bike when going back down to slower speed. I can ride for a while and still feel this weave in the bike at the slower speed. The next time I take the bike out again it feels fine until the tires warm up a lot more. Anyone else ever had this. Had a really good ride out today starting with a breakfast at a local bikers cafe and visiting a friends home. Got back home and gave the bike a good clean only to find a large nail in the front tyre! bummer! Curiosity got the better of me and I pulled it out....it had gone through! Still I suppose I was lucky it didn't happen on the road. Guess I will now have to take the wheel off and get it fixed.
