Anyone know if the seat heigght on a Yamaha YZFR125 can be adjusted to below the advertised 818mm ?? Rear damper adjustment ?? If so how ??

Hi! I bought a thundercat 600 not to long ago and notice that when i get stuck in slow moving traffic (for no longer than 5 minutes) the heat creaps up really quickly and eventually 5 minutes later the temperature of the bike is just over 100*C then the fan kicks in and cools it back down. Is it normal for a bike to heat up that quick?? (Its my first big bike so im unsure!) My uncle had a fazer and he said his fan only ever came on once when he was in the middle of france in the middle of summer stuck in traffic but that is the only time, so i feel that the maybe a problem with my radiator (blockage etc). alrite people, what do you reckon to a seat conversion on a thundercat. i starting to dislike the double moulded seat as comfortable as it is and are now carrying less pilion. i'm not sure atm as the front is still quite round and bulbous and a sharp rear end mite look funny? what yous think and anyrecomondations as to where to get some will be appreciated. thanks, alex

Hi, right bike decisions. I've just been looking over Australian super sport bike sales and Yamaha are in 3rd place. Lagging behind both Honda and Suzuki. 1) Honda CBR1000RR - 295 sold 2) Suzuki GSX-R1000 - 233 sold 3) Yamaha YZF-R1 - 184 sold Have any of you riden the competitors bikes and what are your thoughts? They're all great looking bikes, but the R1 still does it for me. If you were/are in the market for superbike What would make you choose the R1 over the others?

Just got a brand spanking new YZF-R125 and now trawling through the insurance ocean for a decent quote. Anybody got any recommendations for a 20 year old with his first bike. I've had some ridiculous quotes but figured I should get some sound feedback on this forum. Thanks Chrisbob

Hi all, dont know if im posting this in the right place but I saw another project in here so please move it to somewhere more appropriate if needbe, thought i'd share this with you all. The posts are cut&pasted from my local clubs website of my project log so far This is my 2nd project bike, a 1998 Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace which was in need of a little TLC, got it for a reasonable price with 27K on the clock, there is some minor damage here and there and mechanically its in a bit of a tatty state.

Does anyone know how I should set my thundercat up for best handling? It seems abit soft (I know they are soft at the back standard) but it would be nice to hear from anyone who has a good set-up on the thundercat or if anyone has any suggestions. cheers Oh the back end does'nt feel so confident whats the best thing to do to make it abit better?

Hi there, long time no see, I finally upgraded my trusty steed, and then my course of electronics curse jumped bikes. So I have a '99 Thundercat about 60k miles on the clock, she was running okay and I added a LED strip, after a few more months the battery started dying on the regular. so I disconnected the strip but the problem persists, Bought a new battery, same problem, I have tested voltage when running at 3000 rpm and higher and there is an increase to the battery, so it doesn't seem to be the regulator or stator. There is no draw when the ignition is off. The only problem I can seem to find is when I have my headlight on, the voltages stead…

hi everyone having some problems with my bike and was wondering if anyone had any idea what i could be. i went to my local bike meet in pool dorset on tuesday and the bike seemed fine on the way up maybe a little slugish at times but made it there ok then on the way home it was fine until i went 2 stop at some traffic lights i went through the gears as normal but when i was stopping the bike didnt seem 2 want to slow down so i put it in neutral and the revs where at 4 and a half k its never done this before and was wondering if anyone had any ideas what it might be. i used the bike today for about an hour and it seemed fine no fast ideling any help would be appreciated t…

hi anyone help me please.. jut got me 95 yzf750 started after winter layoff. started alright 4 a week then nowt. power from batt ok, lights & inds ok , all elec ok but still no start. changed the starter motor relay on the off chance, still nowt. any ideas would be appreciated..........cheers

hi all, can i put blue spot r1 calipers and r1 discs on my 93 yzf750 if so is it easy ??? and is it a stright swap and what year do they have to come off to fit??? i have seen same bikes as mine with them on am just stuck on what year and hope you can help me because this is my next project!!!!!
