I own a 2012 ybr 125, I can't get it on it's centre stand I have tried and failed several times. I was wondering if it was possible to get a paddock stand to fit the rear off the bike, to make life easier when it comes to wheel cleaning and oiling my chain and other tasks.

Hi to all, I had a search of the forum but couldn't find a specific answer - so thought i'd post and see if anyone had experience of adding a toth the the front sprocket of the YBR 125. This is my first post. I've an 07 YBR 125 and am considering getting 1 tooth extra front sprocket. This is to try to increase the top end (hoping for 5mph extra - where wind isn't against me). I'm also hoping that it will allow me to go a bit faster in the lower gears. for example, at 40mph i'm very comfortably in the top gear. With an extra tooth on the front I'd like to be able to use 4th instead. The same applies for most of the lower gears. So, here are my questions. Does anyo…

I'm looking to upgrade the stock tyres on the YBR125 for the winter mostly as I plan on using the bike as often as possible. Any recommendations? edit: hmm maybe i should scroll down when entering the forum so I can see *all* sections. I can't seem to be able to move this to the more appropriate section. If a mod can I would be very thankful!

I've seen this thread a few times around the internet, but here's a question for you, is it possible to fit the front footpeg bar (with the side stand) on a 2006 model? hi ive recently bought a yamaha ybr 125 2010 model i want to buy an exhaust full stainless that will make it sound just that little bit better if anyone can direct me on where to go or any other advice i would really appreciate it thanks peeps

Hi all, Just got into this biking game and am a complete newb! Managed to pick up a pretty nice YBR 125 57 plate but it needs some TLC as last owner hasnt done the best job looking after it. It didnt come with a user manuel so would be very useful if anyone has a link! Current problem, apart from cleaning rust off it!, is: Ignition button works fine - Engine sounds like its ticking over quite happily, but as i put her into first, the engine cuts out and the engine warning light flashes twice. Any ideas? Any info about cleaning rust off and anything else whould be fab! So happy to be joining the 2 wheeled family! Thanks, Mike

hi ive recently bought a yrb 125 (2010 model) and the chain and sprockets are a bit tatty to say the least, i was wondering how hard it would be to change both front and rear sprockets and the chain my self. i have very little mechanical knowledge but i want to learn. any advice would be AMAZING!! cheers, Peace out!

Hi everyone. I recently got my first 'proper' bike - YBR 125 2007. Excellent bike, I have to say! That is.. untill you want to ride at night, at which point it becomes the scariest ride of your life. The headlight is very poor, and for any visability you have to ride using dipped beam all the time. Anyway, I've just bought a halogen upgrade bulb, hopefully will make SOME improvement. I want to know whether I will need to remove all the front fairings ( I have the fully faired model, with the square headlight), or whether there is an easier way to change the bulb. Also, how would I adjust the angle of the main beam, as currently it seems to shoot hgih up into th…

First post on the forum having had a good look around! Right I know you can't really add any more power to a ybr but I've been doing my best to make it perform better. I've read about the Egr valve on the side that comes out of the exhaust. From what I've read it sends exhaust gases back into the airbox to help with emissions. But after having a look myself if seems the exhaust does blow into the pipe work but when it reaches a one way valve next to the airbox its turned into sucking!? So does it actually help draw air into the box and Not hamper the intake like I've read?!?!?? PIC}

Hi all. New to the club and new to biking, but very excited to have my first bike, a 2008 YBR125 and looking forward to it taking me towards my test. Took it for a good spin the other day (3rd day I had it) to see what i could get out of it. About 65 i reckon which isn't to bad considering I weigh 15 stone. Anyway since then I am almost sure that the note of the engine has changed. Now I don't know if I'm being a bit paranoid about my new baby but I swear the note has got deeper/rougher and almost a bit 'growly'. Even when I'm crusing down the road before my house in 3rd/4th gear, no throttle, there is an underlying growl. Don't think it's the exhausut but I suppo…

The headlight on the bike is not the best and the main beam is next to useless. Can anyone suggest a better replacement and possibly a cheep place to get it. Thank you. Take care

All the indicators will not work when I try them there's a click but nothing else any ideas where to start ? I have looked at all the bulbs and they are all fine. They worked fine last night when I came home from work and at 05:30 this morning nothing ?

Hey. I brought a YBR125 a couple of weeks ago quickly after buying the bike realized that the issue tool kit wasnt there. (kind of expected) but i was wondering if anyone knew where / if you could pick one up. Thanks

A couple of week ago i was riding along at 60mph and all of a sudden my bike jolted and lost all power like the throttle had been shut off. Ever since this incident at about 6000/7000 revs in 4/5th gear it just loses all power and i cant get over 40mph on flat. 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears work fine but its when i need to go up a hill at 40mph that it just doesnt go. Does anyone know what may have happened?

Hi there I brought a Yamaha YBR 125 new on friday. I was wondering about the running in of it as was told to stick at 5,000 revs and is harder than it seems! I did about 60 miles on it then started going up 7,000 revs and bike felt fine even at its top speed its seems fine!!! even managed to keep up with a pack up superbikes for a journey back to my home town... I have 170 miles on the clock at the moment I know they say keep at 5000 for 100 miles then rev to 6000 to clean the injects but they say to stick to 5000 as temperature treatment with the engine where it needs to get used to being started up regularly otherwise the metal can get defects or the pumps need r…

im looking to upgrade the currently pants bulbs in the YBR's front light, so that hopefully ill be able to see the road ahead on the ever darkening winter nights ive found http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H4-Ring-XENON-Ultima-120-Headlamp-Bulb-60-55W-pair.html?bulb_search=b970]this bulb which seems to be compatible... could i simply plug this in without damaging the wiring, as 55w seems a little more than i currently use, and i might have read that a 50w bulb could overload the wiring to the headlight and would it be sensible to replace both main beam AND dipped bulbs with these alternatives thanks

Hi, I have been looking into getting a new bike since my 1st once got stolen (Honda CG 125) and while reviewing and evaluating the YBR125 I came accross a russian site (which I am unable to read) which has pictures of a Sporter looking YBR125. does anyone know if this model is avalible in the UK yet? Link to Russian site Also, could somebody tell me which is better, a Honda Cg125 or the Ybr125? the only diffrences between them both as far as i can tell, is the CG has a slightly bigger engine and the YBR has nice wheels. the things i would like to know is which one is faster and more reliable?
