hi new on here , so not sure where to post what , i have just aquired a yamaha dt 125 lc frame , no id , all thats on it is a frame number 12w000441 what does this mean ? the guy who i got it iff said it was a 84 125 lc but can you tell anything buy these numbers ? if i get parts for it to rebuild would i have to quote these numbers as on parts sites it says the number is not big enough , hoping someone could shed some light on this , and apologies if this is not in the correct place

GOODAY ALL! I have just aquired a fizzy, i have stripped her down to start the rebuild, what i would like to know if someone could help me identify the year model All of the fs1,s that i have seen, the exhaust is at the bottom, my one the exhaust comes up the top of the frame, i suspect it might be a 1972 model. would any of you kind folks have a manual for the bike on a pdf file? I have recently purchased a Yamaha FS1 from the Netherlands that I want to register in the U.K. I sent the identification number stamped on the chassis to YMUK and customer service have replied they cannot identify the chassis number and have no record of the machine, they suggested that I try a owners club for help. the identification number stamped on the machine is 2RU093093. i would appreciate any help to be able to register my machine in the uk. Im now the proud owner of this fantastic all round Motorcycle. The only problem im struggling to find anything to lift it off the ground with to do general maintanance. I have bought paddock stands for front and back but after using the back once I noticed it marked my paint work on the rear swinging arms so im worried about using it again. I have seen from various sites these bobbins you can screw into the frame which you use to lift the bike rather than risk damaging the paint work on the rear swinging arms. The problem is the new FZ6 S2 (07 Onwards) doesnt seem to have these 6mm threaded holes they keep mentioning to screw the bobbins in. Does anyone have a solu…

Hi guys and lasses anyone out there tried to remove magneto from one of these bikes have got the right tool but as engine is out of bike cannot stop the engine turning whilst putting tension on the puller. any ideas. regards steve

JUST BOUGHT A GENESIS AS A NON STARTER SORTED THAT IT WAS STARTER SOLENOID NOW WHEN YOU PUT BIKE IN GEAR IT STALLS CHANGED SIDE STAND SWITCH BUT NO DIFFERENT ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED

Decided to get roadworthy after Around 11 years stuck in garage. Just taken fuel tank out and carbs off. All fairings off (have been since it was difficult to start some 11 yrs ago ) 1st issue ; front brake master cylinder has taken off some of the black paint around reservoir and control switch. Opened up reservior, it has turned a little jelly like. What is best way to clean out the old brake fluid in the system so I can clean up and repaint. 2nd issue; exhaust bolts snapped off trying to remove. Got exhaust off but only two bolts came out well. Any ideas how to remove the broken remains of the bolts. Last resort will be trying to take down to alloy casing an…

HI Guys, Need some of your views on what might be the problem for my bike. I own a Yamaha Fazer bike, now four years old. I'm experiencing problems during revving up the bike to high speeds. The engine gives up suddenly, the throttle doesn't respond(like what you face when the fuel tank goes dry), but the fuel tank is full, battery is recently charged. Then I need to keep the bike idle for around 10 - 15 minutes, then the engine check light blinks and then i can start the bike again but not for long when this happens again. hi everyone, I just put a new kick starter shaft in my G7 (same as the G6 and G6SB....I have no idea which one i have, but they're all the same.) as I'm reassembling the bike there in my driveway, I look down in horror, seeing a lone ball bearing laying there on the asphalt, and I have no idea where it could have come from! in the process of the repair, the motor stayed in frame, and I only had to remove the right crankcase cover.
