Hi guys, I read this on the R6 forum and thought I should share it here. "Riding without boots and crashing might cost you some road rash or foot mash or even in an extreme case might lead to amputation. You might never walk without a limp. You might battle a weight and fitness problem for the rest of your life. You might never walk with pain. But it probably wouldn't kill you. Riding without gloves and crashing might cost you some road rash or a Munched hand or the severe, excrutiating pain of mangling a body part rich with nerve endings. Or you could lose a finger or two. It could cost you the ability to play ball with your son, to pr…

Shall I buy a 1 piece or 2 piece leather suit. I would mostly be riding around town and probably go for a cruise in the country side and coast on weekends. Which one would be better and why? The following are my main criteria: 1) SAFTY 2) Comfort 3) keep you warmer Hope this makes sense.

I've just noticed you can scrub out alot of the crap and useless posts from people who have nothing particular to add - worth noting people Also, we have been given some attachment space but, I can't see how one uses it to add pictures.. NT - I might finally be able to put up a piccy of the RG for you instead of a broken link. Could someone in the admin team enlighten us all please ? Ta.. J

Well this is my latest adventure and it was truely amazing. I had an aerobatic flight is this little plane, a Pitts Special 2A. I got to do barrel rolls, loops, snap turns, stall recovery, inglerom manauvres and every other type of manouvre you can think of ! Unfortunatly though it wasnt the slightest bit scary, i thought being such a little plane it would be jumping all over the place. But to be honest the plane ride was so smooth it felt completly normal whilst doing all the aerobatics. The only annoying thing was that i really wanted to know how much g we were pulling in some of the manouvres but it was waaaayy to much to get my head forward to see the …

My R6, which I've owned less than 2 months, was nicked last night. Thankfully it was recovered, hidden behind a lockup with branches over it to camouflage it. These ned wammees need a good shoeing. They've bent a handlebar, damaged the steering lock (bike won't go lock to lock now - any ideas?) and ripped out wiring trying to hotwire it. They made it less than a kilometre and didn't even get the engine going but they've cost me over £100 in recovery fees and now I've got to get it repaired. Nyaaargh! Ah, I feel better now. Cheers!

And I'm not afraid to admit that I've struggled! Like today, I had to be careful I didn't get sunburnt! And the offroading has been done in treacherous conditions! Hell....I nearly got sand in my shoe once! But I can handle it! I'm hardcore I am!

Hi folks just joined and though that I would spread the word about winter riding, . . . . wet roads and DIESEL do not mix, in case you did not know!!!! Managed to high side my Divi at fairly low speed on some diesel left by taxi cabs turning at a rank. Luckily only bent tha bars and smashed an indicator, main cost was a new helmet, as the last thing I saw was the roof of a parked car before hitting the street. . . . . . . live and learn.. live and learn.

A deal was done today, and the Beemer leaves the building next Wenesday! It's being part exed for a brand new bike. I can't knock the Beemer, it used no oil and never missed a beat. The only minor glitch was the brake problems, and a defective throttle linkage and horn which was replaced today. All FOC. It may have run forever, it may explode tomorrow. Who knows? And once the warranty expires in a few months I'd be footing the bill for potentially very expensive parts, and extortionate BMW labour charges. I'm not going to run that risk, and bearing in mind that I very often end up in totally remote places with no mobile reception....I need to trust it with my l…

Hope to get around a 1000 miles in on the SR and then do my test. Only another 500 to go, which will take ages cos more often than not, my bike isnt working properly. Found your site, whilst searching for answers to my starter problems. Thanks. Juddie
