I've found a 1999 XVS650 classic for £1500 with 20,000 miles on it. I remember someone posting on here about checking monoshocks after a certain distance. Is there any other specifics to look out for as it seems a bit cheap? Has FSH and is used daily.

Helloooo again!!! ...so as you all should no by now i passed my mod2 and am free as a bird to ride what i like etc etc...so any one got any routes for me to ride as im used to M27 etc in car lol..the missus is taking the nipper to a b-day party and told me to go and get this bike thing out of my system....so then..where to go?....i live in stubbington near fareham (portsmouth)...and i love the A32 for a drive so gunna try that first on the bike but want to try something different!!!...also any one round my area up for meeting as i am a newbie to all of this!!!

saw these todsay at the toy run and was thinking of getting some for the flat tracker. can anyone shed some light on them (sic!) and where i can get them (or a link)

hello everyone my name is steve, i have just bought a 1995 model ttr 250 raid i think it is a great bike just the way it is but i would like to do some small mods to it, i would like to replace the large ugly round headlight with a newer style smaller square one and also either an aftermarket exhaust or remove the baffles from the standard one could anyone please give me some suggestions,it would be much appreciated thanks steve

I have a 2000 yamaha roadstar xvt 1600 Silverado edition. I was wiring up a new backlight and I had the power on without the bike running and totally forgot about all my other lights being on. The battery went dead I charged it and after it charged I started the bike but I noticed none of my lights were on and whenever I went to throttle it it wanted to stall and it made a funny sound like muffled air when that happened. So I went and got a new battery because I just bought this bike in march and dint know how old it was. And that wasn't the problem. I tested the battery it reads 13v and when I start it it goes to 15.25. On and my signals still work my radio does not and …

Hi! I recently purchased an XS 650 from a guy that was trying his hand at disassembling and reassembling his toys. He got the dissassemble part right, but fell short of the reassemble. I'm putting the thing back together, and have recently sent the tank out for paint and some minor ding repair. (I got a sweet deal) I'm new to the forum.... and to reassembly. Anything I should know before I go too far? He reassured me all the parts are here, but he isn't sure if the tank was factory. Thanks! cosmo-

hi ive just checked my tool pouch on the bike and theres no rear shock adjusting tool with it,i rang my local yammy dealer and they don't actually sell then seperate(you have to buy the whole tool kit at £51...sod that )he even said the bike may not of come with one in the first place now ive seen a few on ebay but they're all different sizes so could anybody tell me the correct spanner size or even where to get one from?? thanks

Was just wondering if there are any Yamaha perks, I know other forums sometimes get discounts for bit's and pieces vehicle related. I've also seen that Carrick Yamaha (Edinburgh) are doing a £79 winter service + 30 point check, obviously they're looking to get as much ££ out of a customer as they can but any thoughts on this? I have been re...er decorating and upgrading my 83 XT250 and I have found that there are many extra wiring options that I didn't initially take note of...ok I just took the thing apart without taking any notes. So what I need is maybe a picture or two of what its suppose to look like. The bike also didn't come with a speedo, so I have an older speedo attached so the wiring harness for the idiot light don't match up obviously because I don't have the oem speedo. Otherwise I'm having a great time but until I figure this wiring out I cannot ride it. PS I have the Clymer manual and since I'm not an electrical engineer...yet, I need and like pictures, like the books read…

Was up in the Lake District today, 3 up (My other half and Georgie the dog and me), saw loads of bikes around, if you did see us and gave a wave or nod, excellent!!! Anyway we had fun, weather held out for us too, maybe see you up there sometime. Usually park at the marina next to the Pump House when up that way. P

Weather was Ideal today I managed to get out on my bike for a few of hours I went to Chester, lots of bike's took a couple of pics which I'll try and post later, anyone else been out today ?
