Just bought a Spares/Repairs GP100 and was wondering if anyone had or knew of anyone selling a few parts? Been looking on Ebay but cant find the ones i need Im looking for: GP125 Barrel and head unit GP125 Carburetor Expansion Chamber/ Micron Exhaust One of the previous owners ran the bike until the engine packed in, and taking off the gp100 barrel, found the problem... huge hole in the piston! with lots of crap nearly falling into the crank shaft, so engine is coming out and splitting, so while its off looking for small mods to make, and completely strip and tidy bike up A little project for myself and something to fart around on, If anyone knows…

I just bought a 1980 GS550 on eBay, gonna go view/buy it tomorrow, anyone know about any specifics you should look out for on these, all I could find was usual stuff, didn't see anything about specific known issues. Can't wait to go see it, just hope it's not a dud, but from what I've heard they're the definition of bulletproof, this is the bike in question: Ignore the horrible gold paint, that's be re-done the second I get it home

  7. so, not a yamaha, but its still worth asking as all you people are extremely heplfull! basically, the SV i bought is running fine, up untill about 4500-5000rpm, and the one of the cylinders cut out. there was a heap of water in the tank, but thats been drained/cleaned along with all the lines and the carbs, anyone got any ideas as to what to check next? was planning using it this week but since its nae got the same reliability as my yamaha, i decided to take my *caugh* trusty xj *cough* instead. Cheers. Matt

oookay I want to reinvigorate community on this forum, so I've set up "swapsies". Have something you wanna swap? Have something you think people might want? Offer it for swapsies on here! Maybe something will offer u something back... NB: We must preserve our honour and integrity - if you commit to a swap then, please, be loyal to your word. There is absolutely no money involved in the process and its a straightforward swap. OKAY so I'll start us of. I have many cigars - mainly costa rican. Big ones, Small ones, Torpedo ones, Churchill ones, Lonsdale ones, Corona's, pretty much anything you want. In light medium and medium strong. I have manymanym…

hello again people. im toying with the idea of changing the light setup on the rear of my bike, at the moment its completely standard (dt125r) and the indicators are like fog lights off a mk1 fiesta "there massive" also the rear light and plate bracket look horrible and bulky. im looking at a tail tidy and some small LED indicators, but with my dt the rear light is part of the plastic plate hanger - ive seen a few dt's where the rear light is on top of mudgaurd where as mine is below and again its massive i think this is to make way for the rack (which i want to keep to strap my jerry can onto for green lainging) i would like a small slimline rear brake light i can…

hey people im toying with the idea of tidying up the rear end of my dt, ive changed indicators to smaller clear lense bulb indicators which has cleaned up the look of the front end but im still not happy with the rear light/plate hanger... anyone point me in the right direction as to what to look for? either an all in one unit or a small led light and tail tidy bracket? as my rear mudgaurd has the light underneith im thinking maybe i could get away with a thin led strip light hopefully with built in numberplate lights. the look im after is basicly to pull all the rear componants up as close to the rear mudgaurd as i can, none of this bulky plastic stuffshowing. …

Im selling my szr660 on ebay and wanted to post it in the 'for sale' section in case anyone was interested. Didnt realise you had to upgrade membership to do this. How do i go about doing this? I clicked on the link given and it took me to a newspage nothing to do with membership? Wouldnt mind being a member as will definitely come back to the yamaha clan in the future.

Hi all! I am wondering whether or not to get an SZR 660. Trouble is I dont know anyone that has one, or of any locally, as a few people that have reviewed and tested these bikes say they are best suited for people of 5 feet 10 inches or less. Is this true? (I am 5'11") It seems to fit my 'perfect bike' criteria(though it probably not perfect), and I am leaning towards getting one. I have yet to see one in the flesh! Help!!! I will sacrifice my too perfect(boring) vfr750 for one, if I can.

Help needed..... iv been working on a cheap fighter project on my divvie whilst i take part in the current downturn on the jobs front (it hadn't turned over in 5yrs until a week and a half ago) and the current snag seems to be my new tail light i bought, well.... the light works fine but when i press the rear brake lever it cuts out and pressing the front lever results in no change i.e. it doesnt brighten, iv got a manual which iv stared at an awful lot and i can only see three wires that lead to the light, a yellow, blue and an earth so its not exactly complicated but its simplicity doesnt help as it keeps shorting when i wire it up as per the diagram and im starting t…

Pre Tail Tidy: Now with tail tidy fitted: Fairly straight forward job if you don't mind nuts and bolt work, Evo-tech of fleabay £65, took about an hour to fit only negative is they sent out a duff led tail light but they're sending another one to replace it.
