Wonder if any of you have experienced the following? Bought an 03 R6 in march and it was nothing but trouble. In the end i changed it in at the palce i bought it for an 04 R6 in Ltd Edition kenny Roberts yellow, it had 1600 miles on the clock and is lovely. Only had chance to take it out a couple of times and second time was from Southend to St Albans and back. On the way there, banging down teh A127 and suddenl the revs start dropping and it's not responding to throttle input at all. As I slow down I drop it a gear and the revs pick up, then die again, dorp another gear they pick up briefly.. you get teh picture. In the end all I can do is pull in on right hand s…

Whoa! just got back from my local bike store and am now in a state of complete shock. Only went to buy some inners for my gloves and came out with an MT-01. Don't know what happened, but I kinda like it. I pick it up middle of next week and I'm soooo exicted. Not sure why I desperately needed to share this infromation but it seems to have helped with the trauma of making something of a rash decision. Any of you lot going on the MCN protest rally 20Oct07.

A study from an insurance underwriting firm, Equity Red Star has suggested that people who ride motorcycle's are 23% less likely to have a claim in a car than those who don't own a motorcycle. http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news--general-news/motorcyclists-23-better-behind-the-wheel-of-a-car/23971.html There's a bit of debate in office as to whether this is because bikers are better drivers or whether they just use their car 23% less. Personally, I think it's a bit of both. What do you think?

Some fucking idiot dressed in a black suit with his face shielded behind his umbrella while he lit a fucking cigarette decided to walk out right infront of me today on my way to work in the pitch black. Strait out from between the tree's without a glance at whats coming, what kind of thick cunt walks out into a busy road without looking. I was about 15 feet from him when he walked out, he carried on strolling out and didnt see me or hear me until I came to a complete stop and dropped the bike. £200-£---- godknows repair bill for my beautiful new bike, he buggered off hobbling home despite the fact that I, the person who just dropped a new bike offered to phone him an ambu…

i nearly killed a 12-14 year old kid last week, and i decided that children should not be allowed roads i was on my way out of Bolton, at the back end of the afternoon school run (slow traffic, but not stopping every few hundred yards) the car ahead of me indicated right, and moved over, leaving almost enough space for another car to pass to their left, so i just moved left, slowed it to 20 and cruised through the gap as i came level with the stopped driver, i saw a kid sprinting across the road, head DOWN, not looking for traffic, far too close for comfort (had i not hit the brakes, i would've hit him for certain) after a short slide (not my best emergency st…

Hi everyone just wondering, what was the stupidest thing you've ever done on your bikes?, even if by accident?. for example, sneezing with your visor closed when stopped at the traffic lights with some other mates on peds, then taking your hand off the clutch lever to wipe it forgetting that it was in first, stalling the bike and then the light turning green whilst you are still fumbling around with the kickstart and your mates have rode off into the distance. just silly little things like these

My Ride Reports from Spain have been a bit thin on the ground this year due to work commitments. But amazingly I had a free day.....so off I went to explore an area I'd never been to before....the Sierra de Pozo National Park. Going through Castril I encountered the remains of a Suzuki strewn everywhere! Closer investigation revealed it was the debris from my mate's DL1000....he recently rode over all the way from the UK, along with another mate on an R1200GS. Then he managed to break his foot 15 miles from my house! Being a good friend I retrieved the plastic cos I've still got his Strom (and the GS) in my garage and they went home by plane! I know how to show…

Got such a sweet deal on a bunch of parts for the FZ today! Kid was super nice, he got hit off his and didnt' want to risk putting it back on the road with a bent frame, so he parted it out, along with his other parts bike...so I got: 2 x Complete engines (one with full wiring harness including ignition key lock) - they both have their issues, but between the two there are tonnes of parts 4 into 2 into 1 exhaust with an aftermarket muffler of some type ( pipes from an XJ maybe? FZ has a 4 into 1 ) Ignition controller Almost brand new chain Gauge cluster Entire body fairing set (one damaged) Front brake system Two handlebar signal switch clusters Almost new intersta…

I was just over on the V-Max Owners Association. They have a really dignified section where they say farewell to riders who have died, either on the road or of natural causes. My own club (Ulysses) has a segment in the magazine called "Ridden On" where we pay tribute to those who have gone before. I notice that some of our members ride on too. This is a pretty rough and tough site, no prisoners taken (I'm as guilty as anyone) but wouldn't it be nice if we had a corner to remember absent friends? Anybody else think this might be a worthwhile addition? I'm going to post this question elsewhere, so please don't be negative about my idea.

Well on July 14th this year I was deferred from the British army due to medical "problems" now if anyone here has any ideas I cannot join until 18 due to the two year deferral since that's due to asthma being declared on my record. The other is a allergic reaction to aspartame it's used as a sweetener (before this it was used as a nerve agent in the Vietnam war) now does anyone know how I could go about having this removed or overlooked on my medical file NOTE: I no longer have problems with this but we aren't aware how we can prove this Cheers guys
