after doing a topend rebuld on my little dt125r i fitted some carbon reeds and refitted the snorkel while i was at it took her out for a run and she wouldnt go past the 4,000rpm sounded like there wasnt enough air getting to her so i pulled the snorkel back off and she went fine until 6-7k rpm same sound (she has been well run in now) i have never seen the point in all these holes drilled in air boxes but i couldnt think of any thing else so i drilled out 4 holes the size of 1 pence coins now she runs up to the redline just sounds soooo bloody loud!! any ideas why with a change of topend she would need more air? and will this be ok? cheers ken

I am thinking of changing my bike, I have an XJ750 (pre divi) that is 30+ years old now and it's really a good bike but getting a bit long in the tooth for long runs, so I was thinking of buying an FJR 1300A or the Honda 1300A ST Pan, I have not ridden either of these and wondered if any of you have and what did you think of them, I have checked out the forums on both of these and there seem's to be no major problems other than the FJR has some issues with minor vibration from the engine/frame? what ever that means. I hav my tdr 125 thats i love two much to get rid and am on my second fazer that i uese daily love it but i wanted a sports bike and had my heart set on an r1 but test drove a few and the r6 and didnt like them so gave up looking but then i came accross a honda cbr f4i . And had to have it . Its black my kinda colour and my god does it handle well . I think it was the seat that got me its like the seat on the fazer well thats me sorted for the sunday spins durin the summer if we get one in this country

Would this be possible to fit on my XT125x because i don't like how far my domino throttle grip goes back. I think it must be a full turn or 3/4 turn. Our beloved Fazers are getting on a bit now and the coolant hoses are often forgotten about when upgrading or replacing parts. My insurance expires next month and my renewal quote from MCE is £200 up this year. When I looked on the comparison websites, MCE come in at around £100 cheaper than my renewal quote. Is this a common thing? In another note, I would like to ask what you think... My insurance was £650 last year with 2 yrs NCB. In March a van reversed into me at traffic lights and this claim was paid by third party's insurance. But when it came to renew, my renewal quote is £850 with 3 yrs NCB...??? Hi I have just joined here and in desperation am trying to find a scource in the UK for the idiot bulbs (main beam, oil, ABS and management light bulbs) for a 2003 gen1 FJR1300 part no 4WM-83517-10 BULB (T3.4 14V-80MA) . I would really appreciate any useful answers as to where I could purchase 8 of them. I have managed to get the front nose fairing off but struggling to scource the bulbs? Many Thanks Dave

Got the 83 Seca900 home today and my have my work cut out for me. Petcock is missing altogether, are these generic with 650 750 etc. look the same, bolt holes 45mm apart. I need to clean tank, change oil/filter, install a petcock then I'll see if this beast is worth keeping. Looks like a project.

hey people im toying with the idea of tidying up the rear end of my dt, ive changed indicators to smaller clear lense bulb indicators which has cleaned up the look of the front end but im still not happy with the rear light/plate hanger... anyone point me in the right direction as to what to look for? either an all in one unit or a small led light and tail tidy bracket? as my rear mudgaurd has the light underneith im thinking maybe i could get away with a thin led strip light hopefully with built in numberplate lights. the look im after is basicly to pull all the rear componants up as close to the rear mudgaurd as i can, none of this bulky plastic stuffshowing. …

Just picked up a fazer fz6. Had to drive 2and a half hours the other side of the country to get it bit the 2hour spin home was well worth it After having the 2000 & 2002 fazer this is the 2004 model and i am well impressed of how it drives and handles Bring on the good weather !!
