Hi guys, just found you after searching for answer to a problem i have. nice looking site you got here, will take a look around it when i have more time problem is this, i had meta alarm that packed in, took it off the bike, XJR1300, then had various wires all same colour left, couldn'e get bike to fire up at all no matter what the combination of wires were connected. decided to change the loom and now i still don't have a spark....would the coils be causing this? if so, what would have caused them to go? would it be coincidence to go same time as alarm?

Can anyone tell me what happened to the "Garage" and "My Bikes" section that used to be on here? Only noticed it as I wanted to delete the FJ as I've sold it! But if it's no longer available then I will not have to bother.

hi all just passed my A2 test and i have been doing some researching on a bike that takes my fancy a Yamaha TRX850 Age 19-20 - 47 bhp max: the A2 licence. This is where the rules become slightly complex. From the age of 19, you are permitted to take an A2 test (which must be taken on a bike of at least 395cc, with a power output of between 25kW/33bhp and 35kW/47bhp). If you don't already hold an A1 licence you will need to do a CBT beforehand, as always, and pass a theory test, before you take the practical test. Upon passing, the rider is restricted to bikes with a limit of 35kW/47bhp and a power-to-weight ratio of no more than 0.2kW/0.26bhp per kg, for two years. The …

Hi all, I had never been on a bike before December. Now I've whipped through the direct access scheme and bought my first bike. It was like love at first sight my '07 R6 in blue. We've spent a week together so far and she scares the shit outta me, but I'm reigning her in slowly and building my confidence. anyway... I live in Barrow-in-furness in the lakes are there any meets or good rides that anyone can share with me? At what rev count should I be shifting on standard road riding? (I'm not used to such a large rev range) Do I need to clean my bike EVERYDAY with so much salt on the roads? ( Hope to speak to you all soon. Cheers, Parkey5

  20. Well first I think this would be a good time to say hello to everyone. This is the first time I have been on this site. Following some of the threads in all the different sections is amazing to know people really love their Yamaha. I love my Yamaha, always have, I've always kept it had different bikes, i've even gone to the dark side and sampled the Kawasaki and the Suzuki but I have always kept hold of my first 'big' bike. This bike would be the XJ600S Diversion 1995...not the best Yamaha but more of a sentimental issue for me. This bike hasn't seen the light of day for nearly 5 years it has been stuck in my garage hidden away in the corner. I have finally come …
