I am planning to put a different engine in another frame. Is this just a straight forward logbook change ? The engine is a different one to the one that was originally used in the frame but it is still a Yamaha engine Yamaha frame configuration. Has anyone had any dealings of this sort of things before ? I know all the dodges to get a Triton registered but have never done this type of thing before so any info would be helpfull. Thanks in advance.

Hi All, Just going to ask if anyone has used Philpots at PITTED FORKS in Luton to have any of their rechroming done, just bought a spare set of forks off of ebay to replace my old knackered set and Philpots want £156 all in inc P+P for a full hard rechrome of the stancions fully guaranteed for 12 months, sounds like a good deal to me but do you know better? If you happen to know of a better deal please give me a call or PM me if you want to check them out for yourself then they are at www.pittedforks.co.uk. Martin. P.S It seems that due to demand there is a 4 week turn round on their jobs but as the bike is laid up for the winter not a problem for me but might be for s…

I took out the carb and cleaned that thoroughly aswell as cleaning the jets and the float bowl. I then cleaned the air filter out and put carb back in situe. Hey Guys, Well im not sure if any of you have used this site before? I ordered a number plate bracket off of them just before Christmas in which with in 5 minutes my missus had a phone call at home from them saying that due to Christmas that they didn't think that it would get to me so they would send it in the new year for me. So that not a drama for me as the bike is still in bits and i could crack on with other bits. So the new year is now here so i popped an e-mail off to Graham at custom wizard just to see when they would be sending the said item, and he said that it would be going Royal mail 1st class today, GREAT i was thinking.......and with out fail the very n…

Hi all, I'm after some advice with getting a Cat C write off back on the road. It's a YBR 125 custom, first bike, bought second hand for about £1400. I had a *very* minor accident a few months back. Was parked on the road and a big SUV backed into the bike, knocking it into another bike. The damage to mine looked very minimal (dented the instrument panel I'd only recently replaced(!), a broken indicator light, some minor scratches). The other bike was a lot worse off, and when I found the bike neither driver was there so I reported it to my insurer and the police to cover my back... a week later the car driver got in touch, was unreservedly apologetic and said his thi…

Hey folks!! As the regulars know, I've a huge soft spot for FZRs & have had a couple! Well, my daily trawl through the local classifieds has unearthed a cheap 3HE in decent shape, needs a little cosmetic tlc but apparently starts & runs well. I can feel a purchase & project coming on! Just gotta convince the wife it's a good idea....

Hi, I've got a very weak spark that comes through the spark plug cable from the CDI but only occasionally it will come through the spark plug. Me and my dad can't figure out what it is, I thought it might be a bad earth? Compression is fine. Could it be a faulty CDI? Thanks, Ollie.

So. I was changing my chain the other day, routine job, as you do. I put the nut back on the ale, and started to tighten it up, as again, you do. Then I started noticing how long I'd been sat here for, tightening away. As it turns out, the previous owner hadn't used a high-tensile nut on the axle, meaning I've completely threaded the nut. It's now SMOOTH inside. So, my steadily-more-urgent problem now, is WHERE DO I FIND ONE QUICK?! It's an M18 x 1.5 nut.
