Speedshop Posted November 12, 2011 Share Posted November 12, 2011 I'm guessing you can't run a battery eliminator (capacitor in place of a battery) on the XS400 as it has a field controlled generator? Maybe if the generator core holds enough magnetism to let it self generate like a dynamo, IE not need a battery to get the generator fired up? I remember mine not running with a knackered battery tho. If anyone has experience of this I'd be interested to know if the 400 will run batteryless.
