My Bobber project
Well went out in the shed last night and done a tiny bit more to her, i would have had the throttle cables in and the throttle grip on the bars but for some strange reason the pull cable has grown an extra inch in length and the grip jams in the new little housing i got for it, the cable isn't fouwling up the the housing so not quite sure whats goings on there so will have to spend some time out there again to night. Any ways, as ive done away with the old tank, the space that contains the fuel pump, ignition barrel and a load of wires and that is now fully exposed to the free world, so sat at my desk over Christmas i remember that at my father inlaws i still have some junk from my old shed in which i had a big bit of car grill mesh, so i nip off grab a good chunk of it a sprayed it black. And this is what it looks like.

Nope, no helmet needed to ride a quad, but on a bike and side cart, helmets for the guy and pillion on the bike, no helmet for the person in the cart.

Yer was going for the hydro dipped route but then the wife spotted the rising costs and she's pinning me down on my spending, even thought the hydro dipping just the tank was only £60! but nope she has spoken so i will just get it done after the next season. Yellow zip ties where what ive got at the moment and will be getting some black ones from work this week, just waiting for them to be delivered to the production area

new bike test rules from 19th january 2013
Yep all about the monies, i agree that the crater faced burbury Maccy D racers should all take the same licence restrictions as the bikers should. it happens over in places like Sweeden and other EU countries. As for the little rally welshwan not so long ago (think Sept 2011) there was a MAG rally all over the country about bike modifications, 15mph down main duel Carridge ways and motorways how much new coverage did that get.....................next to fook all and im not even sure what the out come was. Still a jolly good laugh and ride out.

Another bike on the horizon
Nice one Welsh, Is it a runner or have you got to do a few bits to get it on the road?
-
My Bobber project
Yep spot on really, yes there are bits I've done a nice job on but then there's the bits I've deliberately missed like the engine mounts, "perfectly imperfect" so nowi don't have to spend ages washing it polishing it etc etc before I ride her, and if I get caught in a rain storm then I'm still not going to worry ha ha. Tank is getting painted tho

Mini Project XS 400 DOHC
Love the look of them pipes Tommy, very sexy. Cant comment on how to treat them inside tho as never done it or heard about doing it, but out of the options given by the YOC gods i think a nice dollop of High temp paint would do the trick and i "think" the Halfords VHT paint has a 5-8 year garentee??? but dont quote me on it. Hammerite direct to rust paint or even hammerite red oxide paint definatly has a 8 year garentee on it.
