Apologies (in advance)
Mainly riding Andrew, in fact I've just come back from Fowlers of Bristol after purchasing £270's worth of leathers, even thinking of upgrading the bike as well. I'm very lucky as my wife works from home as a childminder so in the daytime she want's me out from under her feet while she looks after her kids. Also the obvious like up the garden and shed sort of stuff.

Good morning
Hi Meerkat and welcome to the forum. I've got an xj600 Diversion and was wondering about getting a 900, is there any pro's and cons about the 900's, I know that they are shaft driven so is that a good thing or not? Regards Mike

Virago 535 Plug Leads
Unfortunately that is a "quirk of nature" with bikes, but fortunately they are more weather resistance than car leads. I've never had trouble at all with the leads but a couple of times on the older bikes have had to change the spark plug caps.

Enjoying the Nice(r) Weather!
Fantastic photos Feliks, but is that really your 1986 FZ600? It looks a bit more moderner than 1986. The view on your third photo is brilliant, do you live near there?

Hello all
Welcome John, that is by far the best intro I've read. I think the only bit missing is as Blacky said, is where be you from? Does my reply meet with your approval Paul?

weding ring removale/not joke
Cheers dt, we learn something new every day. My wedding ring hasn't left my finger since the day I got married in 1977, and her name isn't Olive either.

Hi
Blimey Paul, as you would say "lighten up" Anyway, I thought my original post was meant to be just a lighthearted reply saying lets know a bit more about yourself. Dare I say to a mod ffs? Or will I get reprimanded?

Hi
That's better Keiran, at least it's cleared up one thing, your male. With a name like Kat I thought you was a bird

Hi
It's just as well that I'm not a mod then Paul, eh? or even in admin, gawd help us then.

In all honesty DT, I think this is lost on us Brits, what we call a wedding ring is this:

XJ600S carbs
Chris, I've got an XJ600S Diversion (2000) and it ticks over at 1200 rpm on idle. In fifth gear when "going for it" I can get up to 6000 - 7000 rpm but when in top (sixth gear) it cruises at 4500 rpm at 60 mph. Hope this helps. Just checked, my rev counter only goes up to 11,000

happy to be here
Is that what you call an intro? Not bad, but as my old school reports used to say, "could do better"

Blimey Joe, that wasn't an intro or even an essay as Blackhat said, it was more of a Alfred Hitchcock suspense movie.
