Matlock Bath
Couldn't decide where to go when I woke up this morning, then I realised that I've not been to Matlock for a while. Went via the 2 most dangerous roads in Britan (read, twisty roads) the Cat and Fiddle and that road into Comberford. lovely day hasd a brew and bacon egg sarnie near the river

Chain Lube Mess
I use a really sticky off road one which is clear. I first clean and wipe the chain down, then bob a bit of white paint or tippex on one plate. this is so i don't overoil and waste the product. I then spray inside the chain between the rollers and plates (thats two sides). Its best done after a ride when the chain is warm as it promotes the oil to get inside the links. leave to dry overnight. I still get the spray but you need to get close to see

Trackday Donington Monday
depends on how far your going to lean? take it off if you like, just make sure the chain is well adjusted beforehand should be a great day especially if it doesn't rain, have fun

Thermal paint
Mine would say "bloody hot" found the stuff here https://www.proto-pic.co.uk/thermochromatic-pigment-black-20g.html?gclid=CM30gMvCtc8CFecp0wodft4D-w it turns transparant when heated, so you paint whatever underneath, put on the thermochomatic top coat to cover.

Idiots on the road

Valves not sealing?
turn the cyl head upside down and pour petrol over the valves. If they are leaking, the fuel will seep through. Are the rings within spec and can you see the hone marks in the cylinder wall?

picking up a TDM850 Mk2 saturday
Just got back from Hull, bloody windy on the motorway and it was down to 40 mph on the higher levels. got home no problem though and the bike sounds aamzing, very comfy to ride and has good road manners. Front brakes are , the back ot so but I can give them an overhaul ( they are the same as the FZ rear brake too) need to give it a service for peace of mind and I had a squeel from the clutch from standing start blasting off the line, maybe thrust bearing or something. need to keep watching the speedo as It crept up to 90 in some places. Its got 35k on the clock any way here's acuple of pikkies owner painted and not the best, but good enough for what i'm using it for just need some hard pannier frames and panniers if anyone has some lurking?
