xj600 running on 2 cylinders
these have one pickup coil. its a wasted spark system so 1 and 4 cyl sparks and so does 2 and 3 so I'd look at the coil. First look to see if 12v is reaching the coils with the ignition on. The TCI earths to ground to complete the circuit, also check the HT caps as they fail too. I assume you've swapped the plugs in case they are faulty?

it depends on which year is your xj, the '91 has one pickup coil, earlier ones had 2.

Am I just unlucky?
if the bushes are worn, it creates movement and forces the seal into positions it wasn't designed to do. could happen to any bike, if you have a main stand, put it on that and try to rock the lower forks fore and aft to detect any movement

Ducati goes squish
if someone is driving towards you, you first assume that they see you and will make the necessary actions to move/stop. then there is a point where the motorcyclist realises that he can't/didn't see you, hence the reaction to shout and move out of the way. the speed of the lorry was the issue as I think he took it wide because of the lady pedestrian on that corner.

Amazing vintage bike

this was for me, the best time for bike ownership. cars were shit, roads were clear and no speed traps or Police as such

Still trying for age related plate
Do honda use the same engine number as well as frame number like Yamaha? that way you could claim that the frame number is also the engine number and ask for a dating cert based on that!

Classic TT
