rf9rider Posted October 12, 2005 Share Posted October 12, 2005 Been suggested to me to fit fzr 1000 engine into my yzf 750 project. Before i get carried away with it all, is it a straightforward swap? Are the engine mounts the same, can i use my 750 wiring, ie, coils, cdi unit, exhaust system, radiator,or do i need all the stuff from a fzr? If anyone has done this, please let me know! Thanks chaps. PS, Also been considering a Thunderace engine swap, same questions as above! PPS, Theres nothing wrong with my 750 engine, is it worth all the hassle? Me not decided what to as yet but it aint just as simple as swopping over. fzr1000 and thunder do fit but remember both 5 speed boxs..
