alec2507 Posted August 4, 2009 Share Posted August 4, 2009 Hi All an update on the speed saga, i thought i'd have one last try sorting the bike out before i set it alight lol, phone a mate and he said check the 2 gaskets on the head and barrell, did this and found there was no gasket between the barrell and the block, luckily i have some paper gasket so made one, anyway i took the barrell off and checked that and found 4 gouges in the cylinder each one about 1.5mm deep and some scoring on the piston, even a non mechanicaly minded person like me knows this aint good, by luck i have a spare barrell and piston from another engine, is there anything i should check before putting it all back together, i've given the barrell a good clean and oiled it and checked there's no crap in the cylinder but any advice will be appreciated, cheers alec Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
