Yamaha Aerox R WSB Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 i have a problem with my Yamaha aerox / yq50 it makes a screeching noise above 10 mph and is alot louder than the engine, plus the engine its pretty loud i was wondering if anybody knew the cause of this or how to fix it baring in mind the bike is only 5 days old and has done around 450 miles i wouldn't be to bothered really because the bike goes in for service Monday-Tuesday but its the fact i rode back from Matlock today and the bike was embarrassing to ride on with the noise and i didn't expect to be annoyed because my bike didn't work after 5 day ! thanks anyway, if anyone has any suggestions what the cause is or how to fix please let me know Jamie Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ReIcE Posted August 19, 2009 Share Posted August 19, 2009 The only time i had a screeching noise on my bike was the kick start cog grinding away, when putting the bike the dealers might have put the variator togther wrong, because that what happened when i did lol.
